I'm not going to get invloved with the tittle tattle but I'm just picking up on a few things that have been said....

Yes possibly they do.....but i think there are few who would try to take their employer to court over anything, that is for a number of reasons, not just the fact that there is no formal contract between them and their employer.

Just to reply to this part...well medical check ups are up to the girls to sort themselves but in this day and age it's not really that difficult, I'm sure most people on here have managed to get a check up quite easily so why force girls into having regulated check ups dunno

The biggest issue with security of parlours is the amount of cash on the premises but most have ways of safe guarding this and those working there. The only other thing you mention is the tax issue which I suspect is your main bug bear with the industry.....to explain......girls are taken on by establishments on the basis that they are actually self employed so just pay a certain commission to the house, most brothels now are tax paying. It's up to the girl to declare her income to HMRC......at the end of the day the tax man doesn't care what you do.....you can tell him you're a drug dealer and he'll be happy so long as he's getting his money.

I'm just bringing up this point as generally this is very true to how brothels appear to be run.....but whilst you are correct to a certain extent Duncan and generally brothels are run by the girls, they are supported massively by the criminal underworld. As a punter I can see your views but please understand that you don't know everything from the other side of things. Of course these have always been the staples of the underworld. Its because they manage them effectively we don't see the signs of the hand of the underworld. They can't have a 'heavy' presence on the premises as it would be an illegal act.
But its comparable to many situations in industry. Many people find they have to work with employers who are just inches away from being criminals. Some of the stories that get about would make your hair curl.
Many of the girls will argue in favour of the way things work now. As it appears to be the most effective way to do things.
I think the argument is based on the fact that if the sex industry were legalised it would mean that the underworld could reinstate their presence again, albeit through disguised means.
Like most punters I have no desire to see anything more than what we go there for. So however its regulated its down to punter happiness and satisfaction which makes the trade work. The last thing you'd want is to find some jack the lads hanging about when you are looking for some fun.

Yes, but it was only a minor incident and was handled swiftly with. Largely due to the fact that the punter was a drunken slob. But what's the point in trading horror stories?
If a sauna is full of rowdy guys I come back later. I wait and then phone the shop again, and go back when things are quiet. I don't go there looking for that or expecting it. I wouldn't go back if it was likely to happen.
Anyway do you have a story to tell?

I don't want to get involved with the "I know more than you" brigade BUT ........... 2 of the cleaners at work have evening jobs in the sex industry ....... not through choice, BUT through necessity!
From what they say ..... the "girls" don't run anything......... the "girls" do as they are told!
But I am sure if you ask any of the "punters" they will report that "the girls" are happy and in control of their own destiny :doh:
Most of "the girls" who work with the 2 people I know, do it to support a drug habbit........ not because they enjoy it ....... because believe me from the stories they tell....... "the girls" don't enjoy it at all!
I am sure this post will make me as popular as a hole in the head .......... but does this look like the face of concern? :giggle:

spot on Blonde.....some girls choose to work....some are either forced into it or do it cos they can't find any other work. The working girls I've spoken about have mostly been doing it of their own choice....there is a difference and more does need to be done for the girls who are forced into the industry.

This is where I will go back to my earlier point that you don't really understand the workings of the industry on all levels.
I wasn't asking for horror stories.....I was checking if you were aware of what happened in those circumstances.....you obviously don't.

There's more and more reports of human trafficking rings being discovered throughout the country. The scale of which is obviously overwhelming, So something does get done, but the problem is bigger than we realise.

This is where I will go back to my earlier point that you don't really understand the workings of the industry on all levels.

I was there so I know what happened in those circumstances. Its how the staff and the bouncer handled it in that sauna. Nothing big and dramatic or blood everywhere or even a nasty duffing up. Just a simple throwing out. Handled firmly and decisively, and that's all that was needed.
You don't find ex SAS or professional fighters minding saunas, just workaday big blokes who can handle themselves well enough for the job. That 's all that's needed where I go.
But what about your experiences? Or inded your insight into these other levels. Its an intersting debate. I always appreciate a penny thriller. But it would benefit anyone who is interested if you wanted to impart your knowledge.

surely human trafficking is a bit of a different issue?
Yes it encompasses a lot of things, But many trafficked women become the enforced prostitutes. Which is why I mentioned it being where efforts are being made to do something.

You are right but its an answer to someone else and indirectly linked to those who are forced into the trade. Its the kind of thing that the police put their resources into as and when they can.
