Take the circlips out of the hardy spicer get 2 sockect one big enough for the cap to be pressed out in to and one narrow enough to press the cap the other end out then put it in a vice with the sockets on each side, tighten the vice the narrow socket presses one cap in and the other out in to the wider socket.
