How the Flucking hell do you change a UJ on a series Landy, got prop in one hand new uj in other circlips flying round garage. doesn't look anything like the flipping haynes manual.
I need help (or shooting) lol
Sheddy may know cos i thought it said Lady help redface
Take the circlips out of the hardy spicer get 2 sockect one big enough for the cap to be pressed out in to and one narrow enough to press the cap the other end out then put it in a vice with the sockets on each side, tighten the vice the narrow socket presses one cap in and the other out in to the wider socket. Then flip it over and do the other 2. Refit is reverse of dismantle smile

I've done a cavalier but it had only one circlip and came apart nicely once removed.
My haynes manuals the same.

if ya ain't got a big enough vice try putting the big sockert up right on the floor then the hardy spicer/uj asembley on top then the small socket and use a bottle jack as a press by jacking on one of the chassis cross members at the heavyiest point biggrin
uj out but yoke badly worn, so rung up mate whose a landy nut, found old prop in pile of bits at his, put my new uj in rear half of it, re-asembled
covered in grease, ep 90, skinned knuckles
note to self, buy something different than a landy lol

Na ya want a Maverick/Terrano narrow enough to be used round town, but with enough ground clearence to bounch its way over the roughist of terrains, couple it with a bullet proof engine low purchase price as they havn't seemed to catch on and enough space in the back to store an average family saloon you can't go wrong biggrin

I wouldn't change from Landrover for the world...... it goes across fields, through hedges, kind of over ditches, into the deep mud, out of said deep mud.... and still gets me home again..... lol.
Now..... show me a bloody BMW X5 that can do that......

Huh! Fine! See if I care.....and I was nice to you in the early V late thread as well.
I'll just go and sod off then. Just how many other birds do you know who can/would lift & hold in position a gearbox (Espace- not a mini!) on their own with there hands and feet from under the car in the dirt?
Well, without looking like an escapee from "prisoner cell block H".
Sodding off. wink
