Hi Any advise gratefully recieved. My laptop was showing it has closed down to protect files, and I had to start up with safe mode, safe mode with newtowrk etc, last config to be working, then it kept skipping the command I chose, I then got a blue screen saying check for viruses, but there was , so there is power but network adapter not flashing, does this mean it's for the laptop graveyard x
This happens t oeveryone i think, certainly me in the past, I always reformat when i have problems or try to restore to aan earlier date first?

if you have a copy of windows on CD then try and boot it off that and use an online virus checker (such as trend housecall you might have to change the boot order in your bios, which is usually done by pressing the delete key on boot up, just look what it says when you switch it on.
If you have the original disc for your windows install or the recovery discs you can try and do a repair by booting from the disc as above and following the repair instructions. you might loose any data you have stored on your drive though
Hi wont let me do anything even the wireless network dongle thing not lighting up think it's ready for the laptop graveyard. Its about 6 years old I think just getting a black screen on start up, earlier I had the blue screen saying error etc x May take to shop to get a free estimate x
