mad Aaargh f*cking aargggghhhhh!:x
This drives me bloody bonkers! So you might think, what's new. Nothing really i just to vent my spleen.
Before this particular site "improvement" I could look at a profile and think  this person(s) not logged on for twenty three years or so. Now that same person(s) profile states Last seen: Over 2 Weeks Ago What a croc of shite eh?
explain why this is an advantage to anyone at all bar the fact that as a businees you can hide the true active membership.
OK, OK you could say "But some membes (bleat, whinge) might be on a break" Well so freaking what? I'm sure those same members would prefer, when they're looking through ads, to have some reason in their search and not have to blow dust off those now passed through and out the other end of the place. Its not hard to become active again is it for goodness sakes. One login and hey up your back active, Piece of cake. That easy I even worked it out myself.
We even know of a relatively local "member" who shows up on our search and the members not logged on for nearly three years. Of course we mail that member regularly as it states Last seen: Over 2 Weeks Ago rolleyes When and if they ever login again 247 of their mails will be from us. Oh i forget the mails deleted after a month anyway so members not signing in for 4 lifetimes won't get mail older than a month anyway.
Come on SH. For those of us looking through the search facility - give us a break and lets have the correct information about "active" members, not business bullshit
i gather youve had 1 of those days then ?
its easier to just say not logged in for 2 weeks its not worth bothering to reply to and move on to the next advert at the end of the day
   with you 100 % on this one
yes it is annoying when you cant judge accurately when a member has not been on for say 2 weeks or 2 years or if they will be back at all , must admit i wouldnt send a message to anyone who has been away for 2 weeks , as said previously it could be 2 years or more ?.
trav..
and breathe......
I might be wrong so don't quote me, but I seem to remember seeing somewhere that Admin were working on that little "feature" so it might get fixed in the new site. But then again it might just be my brain doing wishful thinking again! ;-)
Just like my small red saucepan. rolleyes
Seriously, how do you lose a saucepan?
have a look for some small, well controlled fires in the local facility.
The saucepan could well be around there... dented... scorched.

I asked for that. lol
Lost innit just, does my head in and the search function comes up with people 0 miles from me and then when you look at their profile they are 100 miles away, whats that all about
What do some profiles on here, Shergar, Lord Lucan, Jesus Christ and Dinosaurs have in common?
And no they haven't been turned into Dog Food.
I can't say it bothers me terribly, but then again I'm not looking. But I imagine it must gnaw at the very soul of ardent swingers looking for likeminded folks somewhere this side of the known universe, who are still actually about and haven't evolved into sentient beings who only exist in other dimensions.

oh no, hang on, he said "sentient"

they have extras have seen you looking and altered their profile... happens to me all the time..
Losty me old Mate.....this has been talked about in various forms for yonks now.
The figures over there >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> are nowhere near correct. You know that and I know that and so does everyone else.
IF I believe those figures were to reflect how many had actually logged on in the last year I reckon there would only be not even half of that figure....my opinion.
It is certainly NOT good business sense to alter them.
When we used to go to Skinnys in Brighton, which is now closed, they had a membership that consisted of people and profiles of nearly 800 people.
The same issues were discussed and when they went through the figures properly, as to how many people had either attended a party or logged on in the past year, it turned out there were only 350 active members.
I think that any member who has not logged on for a year should be removed, sorry but I am not really interested in any reasons. At least others would know they HAD been active fairly recently.
That I do not think will happen, and IF this was my site I probably would not alter those figures either, but my words are coming from someone who does not own the site.
We live in a country of figures, and anyone would admit those figures over there >>>> are not really that accurate.
Yup I reckon on the basis national figures there are about 36.1 million adults over the age of 16 and under 65. If by chance there really are 1.1 million members of this site then that means 1 in 28 of this population are members (Please excuse the fact that i'm not counting those over 65 but I thought as the population figures are from age 16 yrs rather than 18 yrs old the one could counteract the other)which brings me to conclude that in my small town here should be 857 members of this site as an avg across the board. OK I realise my interpretation of the demographics are very remedial but still 857 members rotflmao Even if 10% of these were active and swinging on SH i'd be gobsmacked.
