Know I'm a bit stupid but how do you leave a shrep message on a friend?
You must both have SHrep active on your accounts.
They must be in your friends list (Vouch) or exchanged multiple mails (Site).
The system will then send you a Leave Rep notification.
Fek knows .... I'm definately as daft as you are cos I've no idea.
If someone fails to turn up for a meet. Can one leave them negative Meet Rep, or is this naming and shaming? We went to an event organised on here by a very good friend and many people simply failed to turn up, not even bothering to text or call. A lot of food was laid on at the organisers expense and a lot of time was spent contacting people with details about the event. Worse still, those guys that didn't turn up even had the cheek to leave feedback about the event on our profile, they weren't even there! Surely these are grounds to leave negative feedback without the fear of retribution from the Site Ops? I'd appreciate some input on this from the more established and experienced members on the site. Thanks!
Mike,
That's deplorable, if members have left incorrect feedback albeit in the forum or on personal home pages of members in relation to a meet they never attended then I suggest you take it up with a site Op or Admin.
Naming and Shaming, is not aloud on any sites that I'm a member of, in reality if it where then there would be a free for all, how could it be policed?.... " they said, we said"
As for leaving SHrep, why bother? By leaving a negative post if that's permissible proves your frustration, remember the user can still delete it! My advice, block the offenders and report where necessary.
Hope this helps.
Paddy.

shrep needs to be allowed to show and individual shrep may not be displayed so anyone in their right mind wouldnt show negative shrep so whats the point lol

If you get a negative shrep it shows that you have recieved a negative one but it is up to the individual if they want to show the actual comments or not. You cant hide the fact that you have a negative one.

If that`s the case it seems weird that a mod has stated that there is no naming and shaming on swinging heaven !!
I have never left a negative shrep and havent had one left for me but I have seen them on a couple of profiles. It shows up as red on the shrep bar thingy. If you decide not to show the comments then no one would know who left the shrep or why you got a negative one, they'd just see that you have one by the red on the shrep bar.
Well thats my understanding, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

This is exactly correct.
The diabling of comments is in a way kind of pointless. Lets face it its Ebay feedback lol I dont know about anyone else but if soomeone has 6 good and one negative meet feedback I would like to see the negative. The idea being I can make an informed decision on the reason. It is possible to read a negative and think well that was a one off ocassion they turned up to five other meets we can take the risk? Maybe allow follow up comments from the member that has recived a negative like on Ebay?
From my own perspecitive if I got a negative for not turing up at a social with no prior notice I wouldent have a problem. The only way that could happen is if I sgined up and forgot or similar. whatever its my fault I have inconvenienced people I should take the rap. Would be nice if I could follow the neg shrep up with an apology.

Talltrees,
Have a look in your :: Inbox and you should have the basic Shrep Guide we created for friends (and shared with Admin) on how to use Shrep.
Hope it also helps you.
I think mine is broken ... when I try to turn it on I get a white page.
