2 weeks ago I got an ambulance up to A&E because I was having constant pain. I hadn't been there very long when they injected me with something it seems I have become allergic to. Within seconds I went into anaphalaxic(sp?) shock. My throat was closing up and they had seconds to intubate me. Lukily they managed in time(with many body cuts bruises and suchlike). I was in a coma for a week and they didn't think I was going to come round at 1 stage. I am now home feeling very weak and sore and with the original pain still. My new paranoia is that no one will ever inject me with anything again unless it is life saving and that includes operations. Just shows you never know what is around the corner.
 omg BF glad to see you here to tell the tale kiss
Good grief .... hope you start feeling better soon! x

Hope you're feeling better soon, lovely girl.
.
How scary . Hope you are feeling better now kiss
Blimey..thank goodness you survived it. I have also had a shocker when the surgeon accidentally punctured my jugular vein in an operation! I lost so much blood and had to go through a further 3 hours of surgery! I too have absolutely no trust of the medical proffession and am a PAIN in the ARSE to them as I question EVERY SINGLE THING they do to me now! I think you are right to be cautious and to fight your corner in the future. Sorry you had such a shit experience and hope you feel perkier soon. xxx
 You poor thing!
I hope you make a speedy recovery, you'll need to carry one of those thingies around your neck now to indicate your allergy.
Life is indeed very precious kiss
What an experience you have suffered glad to see you are still with us.
Get well soon! kiss
I think it always best to share what has happened we all can live and learn.
A friend of mine was treated for a toe nail infection that cause kidney failure, he was then in hospital for about 7 weeks luckily he is now all better and back to normal health but it was very touch and go, they said this was caused by an allergy reaction to the treatment that was given for the infected toe nail. You just never know!
shocking

That must have been terrifying :therethere:
I can see why people choose to make the most of every day and stop worrying about the far future.
