2 weeks ago I got an ambulance up to A&E because I was having constant pain. I hadn't been there very long when they injected me with something it seems I have become allergic to. Within seconds I went into anaphalaxic(sp?) shock. My throat was closing up and they had seconds to intubate me. Lukily they managed in time(with many body cuts bruises and suchlike). I was in a coma for a week and they didn't think I was going to come round at 1 stage. I am now home feeling very weak and sore and with the original pain still. My new paranoia is that no one will ever inject me with anything again unless it is life saving and that includes operations. Just shows you never know what is around the corner.
Good grief .... hope you start feeling better soon! x

That you never know whats around the corner corner is indeed quite a corner!
Here's to you and to your recovery x
Damn glad to be able to say "Get well soon" rather than condolences
Glad you are able to tell us.
These things feed our parania but dont let it
My God - that's a salutary tale!
Hope you're feeling better soon, lovely girl.

Blimey..thank goodness you survived it. I have also had a shocker when the surgeon accidentally punctured my jugular vein in an operation! I lost so much blood and had to go through a further 3 hours of surgery! I too have absolutely no trust of the medical proffession and am a PAIN in the ARSE to them as I question EVERY SINGLE THING they do to me now! I think you are right to be cautious and to fight your corner in the future. Sorry you had such a shit experience and hope you feel perkier soon. xxx
That must have been terrifying :therethere:
I can see why people choose to make the most of every day and stop worrying about the far future.
