Sorry to hear your bad news
Been there a couple of times in the last 10 years and it is not a good feeling as the last time took me 3 months to find another job on 10k basic less a only plus side is 3 yrs on from that i am back to earning roughly the same with the prospect of a promotion next month. Hopefully things happen for a reason and you will both gets better jobs earning more money!! Good Luck Mr S

Sorry to hear your bad news guys.
Whenever its happened to me I have found the the only way to go forward is to look at the positives and move on as quickly as possible.
Probably easier said than done right now but my advise for what it's worth is look at it as an adventure. You know the old saying, when one door closes another opens.
Try to look at it as an opportunity rather than a set back. Sit down together and look closely at your situation. Take stock of your skills and assets and be cheered by the fact that you have each others support in whatever is approaching in the future.
I dont mean the above to sound flippant, believe me it's not. I just feel that you will achieve so much more with a positive attitude, than if you let this, all be it devastating news get you down.
whatever you decide let me wish you all the very best for the future, I hope, along with everyone else i'm sure, that everything works out and that life takes a turn in the right direction very soon.
