Beware the born again bikers - I've picked up a few in my time, and yes, I do mean scraping them off the tarmac!! confused

If it's a first offence and all for sp30's (speeding) probably 6 months unless you can argue that you need your car for transport (work, isolated location etc).
Second time you've reached ban level or if you've got points for something like dangerous driving etc 12 months min.
Warwick...answer Judys question what was it just 12 points or was it something more serious?

I very very nearly came a cropper speeding a few months back and hubby hasn't let me forget it.
Came off the M1 and onto the A38 .. not a car in sight ... turned the radio in the car up (gotta love Marilyn Manson) and comign towards the Police HQ in Derbyshire looked at the speedo and was tootling away at 125 mph ... I have never moved my foot off the accelerator as quickly redface

Am now restricted sad

this car isn;t as fast as the old one :(
Am lucky never to have had points etc. would have deserved a lot more had I been caught.

before the points system, I used to take the 'L' plate off my 250 and razz up the M1 to get home for the weekend.
9 times out 10 i'd get a pull. Always in f Leics. 3 times by the same traffic cop.
Eventually I racked up 14 endorsements.
A few years later I had a small bump with a APC in a small village in Essex.
Bastards converted the live endorsements to and banned me for 8 months.
Not good for a young tank driver ???
And it was the day before the wedding to mk I. Not a good omen.

how the feck does one TOOTLE at 125 mph?
I almost orgasm at 89 mph the shaking is that good, it goes through out the car, and I drive the same sort of car as the german cobbler what keeps winning the GPs ( look on the front of his nose cone)

I had a 2.0 Renault Laguna ....... beautiful car to drive .... some dizzy cow pulled out in front of us in May and totalled the front of it sad

I was gutted. We have a Mondeo at the moment but I'm less than impressed with it :(
Only 5 more months until I get my new one ....

For info
i lost my licence for thirty months. I had never had a conviction before despite having driven a million miles
At the time I was pretty wealthy and had a Ferrari F355, and got nicked for 163mph on the A5
Silly boy wont do that again. In my defence it was absolutely empty and I could seee for miles

You could see for miles but not the police/speed camera???? :doh:
I was really terrified when I was speeding that I'd been "nicked" and spent the next 14 days fretting but thankfully nothing came of it. I'm really lucky though and appreciate it now .. I couldn't survive without my wheels (far too lazy!).

Hubby says you should have kept your foot down ... anything over 170 is too fast for them to clock!!!!!!! (assuming it was a Gatso)

190 mph JEEZ :shock:
My little 1.1 corsa starts to shake itself loose after 85 mph.
All I need a car is to get me to work (80 miles), then i travel were ever I am needed & it stays there till I come back to the office & drive it home.
