Well the best way to do is, is by going into Adverts, click the one you want to link, copy the URL from the address bar and the pasting it into your forum signuture

Hi Jed - we should change that thread slightly as the numbers don't exist on the adverts now (I think).
Just put the url for the advert you wish to put in your signature..

The numbers do exist still but you are right in saying is better to use the URL smile

They don't exist like they used when the post in LMU was written - the numbers used be very clearly written on the advert as back then the adverts were completely separate to the forum. Members logged into photo adverts with a different password. Hence why some ended up with two accounts when all the site merged.
I think the numbers you see at the end of the url are probably the numbers now - like the forum post numbers we have. Then I'm not that techie and my memory is crap lol
