so people
we will love or at least enjoy the majority of the music tomorrow
hopefully it will turn out to be a memerable world wide event
but is the the right way to help africa ?
will the monies reach those truely in need ?
Should george w bush ,,rather than protecting oil flow !! rid africa of a few despots and tyrants ?
don't even get me going on this one, there is no reason at all these people should be starving their goverment has money they would just sooner keep it with the rich and buy fire arms than help the innocent starving children
anyway i'm off b4 i explode mad
Looking at the list of people taking part none of them interest me really, and any money raised is unlikely to reach those it is intended for so nothing will change.
PB4U
sadly i think your going to be so right
Hopefully it will help the needed - or at least help more than plastic wristbands.
b4 it goes anywhere near them their goverment will tax the hell out of it, makes me sick we are trying to help their people and all they are bothered about is what they can gtet out of it, and i really hate the thought of my money going 2 them greedy barstools mad
I dont think live 8 is about raising money............... its about awareness. biggrin

i think your right there
I know it's about awareness, but i wonder how many of the artist who are performing are actually making a donation (other than time) some how i don't think many of them will.
TBH I dont think world poverty is the most important thing on the minds of the people going.
That doesnt make them bad people, its just there is no real correlation between the problems in africa and being at a massive concert in Hyde park.
Im going tommorow and feel very lucky to be doing so. If this event does in fact have a positive bearing on world poverty then thats a good thing.
