My whole family is big so I never made my son finish food. But if he was faced with something new he had to try it. Then he could say he didn't want it, but not before.
My nephew was an incredibly picky eater, taking 45 minutes to eat a danish. It used to drive me batty. Then when he was 15 he went to an orthodontist and we were told his jaw wasn't aligned properly. A special brace sorted it and he eats like a horse now. But I feel soooo guilty that I used to tell hm off for being fussy and the poor little bugger was starving all the time.
btw - best recipe for liver. Cut it in thin strips, fry lightly in butter with finely chopped (liver) - that should read GARLIC. When it is still pink, pile it onto good mash or tast and eat with a blob of mustard - heaven on a plate.
Just had beautiful liver and onions for me dinner - it was brilliant!!
With some silky smooth creamy mashed potatoes and some delicious fresh broad beans - aaaaaaaaaaah heavenly
- and all coated in the most lip smacking finger-licking thick glutinous gravy - OH. MY. GOD.
A real treat for me as most of the rest of the family won't touch it (although they all wanna lick of the gravy)
I'm a very happy bunny right now.
I have had a liver transplant and I ate liver, bacon, onions and gravy on the ward when I was recovering from the op
Had a thought about it before I ordered it and tucked in when it arrived.
Did wonder why it was on the menu, but ate it everytime it was available.
I still eat it now and had it last week, it has to be lambs liver though.
