My whole family is big so I never made my son finish food. But if he was faced with something new he had to try it. Then he could say he didn't want it, but not before.
My nephew was an incredibly picky eater, taking 45 minutes to eat a danish. It used to drive me batty. Then when he was 15 he went to an orthodontist and we were told his jaw wasn't aligned properly. A special brace sorted it and he eats like a horse now. But I feel soooo guilty that I used to tell hm off for being fussy and the poor little bugger was starving all the time.
btw - best recipe for liver. Cut it in thin strips, fry lightly in butter with finely chopped (liver) - that should read GARLIC. When it is still pink, pile it onto good mash or tast and eat with a blob of mustard - heaven on a plate.
Ewwwwww, no liver for me thanks! I work as a nurse on a liver transplant unit and guess what they serve up for dinner sometimes??? Liver and onions, i can't bring myself to look at at!! confused

Nothing on this earth could persuade me to eat liver anymore!! I found out in conversation that one of my Aunties used to eat it raw when she was pregnant  An act, which in itself is very odd but what totally freaked me and put me off it, was the fact that one morning, she opened the fridge to find that her piece of liver had wrapped itself around the milk bottle  :eeek:

ewww with that and the recycling liver i deffo aint touching liver again :color:
Just had beautiful liver and onions for me dinner - it was brilliant!!
With some silky smooth creamy mashed potatoes and some delicious fresh broad beans - aaaaaaaaaaah heavenly
- and all coated in the most lip smacking finger-licking thick glutinous gravy - OH. MY. GOD.
A real treat for me as most of the rest of the family won't touch it (although they all wanna lick of the gravy)
I'm a very happy bunny right now.
I cooked liver and onions yesterday - with mashed potato, baby carrots and Yorkshire puddings. Yummy smile

I have had a liver transplant and I ate liver, bacon, onions and gravy on the ward when I was recovering from the op
Had a thought about it before I ordered it and tucked in when it arrived.
Did wonder why it was on the menu, but ate it everytime it was available.
I still eat it now and had it last week, it has to be lambs liver though.

Only if you get it to rise every time ( as long as yer yorkshire pud is light and fluffy!).
And float it on thick onion gravy.

I think I can manage that!
