What words and phrases are unique to your part of the world ?
I was compiling a lexicon of slang terms that are common in my home town when I discovered that someone has published a book of them already.
Here are a few of my favourites:
Langern. 1 Penis.2 Idiot
From this we get "langers" as in "langers drunk".
BaznPubic Hair.
This is derived from the local word for a haircut which is "bazzer" , a name also given to the barber.
MebnTesticle. More commonly used in the plural. To make a mebs of something= to fuck things up.
Fla1 vt To fuck 2 n Fuck.
Flaed out= shagged out, knackered, etc.
Throw in the singy-songy-uppy-downy local accent, and no outsider can understand us.
What expressions are used where you live that are unlikely to be found elsewhere confused:
Let's hear 'em biggrin
blimey, i've never heard any of them....and i thought you were hard enough to understand before....you know, when you had all the apples and pears stuff.....very difficult for the more northern of us..... wink
not really slang but a favourite...
"procrasturbate" - Masturbating to avoid doing other, more important things :!:
I'm a native Londoner and I've never heard of any of those expressions Riff Raff mentioned. Must be south of the River, they're a funny lot over there. ;)
I'm glad it wasn't only me then Ice! x

I hate Scottish slang. Just the whole sound of it is horrible. sad

Which part though? I'm no expert, but I've been to a few places in Scotland and there seems to be as much variation there as anywhere else. Gittaefuckhameyesassenbassa seems fairly universal though. :lol2:
Fit like ma loons an quines? lol
