Logged out during session

i'm getting kicked out regularly during active sessions and having to log back in, it doesn't save the 'last posts' or the post i was in the middle of . Anyone else having this prpoblem?

From what I know the forum will log you out if you don't post or do anything with the forum over a period of twenty minutes....

It's happening to me a lot lately too - much more than normal. I haven't changed anything on my computer and I'm not really doing anything differently.
Of course sometimes it happens when you take ages before pressing send on a PM or post, but recently it's been happening when I'm just going between threads or forums.

Same here. It happens every now and then but the last week or so it's been doing it more and more which is a bit annoying when you type out a reply to a post or pm then lose it when you get booted evil

I was beginning to suffer acute paranoia. But then everything is all about me me me me me............. :shock:
the most annoying thing is when I am writing a really intelligent reply to a post and I get logged out. Then I write it out again and it never sounds half as clever. rolleyes

If I'm PMing now I always select the text and right-click - "copy" That way if the bloody system has decided I've been inactive for too long (I'm trying to write seductive PMs FFS!! These thingstake time ) at least I can just log back in, re pm and then just "paste" the text back in and send.

I asked this question recently and St3v3 did give me an answer. Its to do with the hanging up of a session table dunno
Once we move to the new servers, whenever that is, the problem should be solved :thumbup:

I can't say I always follow my own advice but a really simple way is to open up Notepad (Start >Programs> Accessories>Notepad) and write your message there. You don't even have to be online at the time. Then copy and paste into the reply box here.

To make it easier just do CTRL+A then CTRL+C - switch to SH and do CTRL+V ;-)
BTW... the sites been logging me out at odd times too.

The automatic log-out seems particulalry bad today.
Practically every 5 minutes I keep getting booted.

There's a system parameter that works out how soon to log you out based on your post count. It's getting to the point where Sassy won't be able to log in at all soon :giggle: bolt
