In an ideal world .............
I don't know about empty lives though, thats a motive and people have their own motives for doing what they do, there's a clear line drawn in the aup which shouldn't be crossed and if people are being nasty for the sake of it, the aup should help us to get them out.

Simple answer... YES!
And I agree with Steve, people on here 'can' be nasty for the sake of it... they know who they are.

I sit here in my empty lonely little life some nights (all say aweeeee lol

) and am amazed how nasty/rude some people come across in the forums...why?
I feel a bit heated at some things at times an only lost it once as far as im aware...at times it looks like a hobby for some! Posterbaiting I call it confused

:? Am curious at times how they get away with it... :?:

I'll be the first to hold me hand up and admit that I can be very acid on the forum. I will only do it when something has genuinely pissed me off though - extreme unfairness or plain ignorant debate for example.
I do not do it as a matter of practice but there are some who do.
I believe they actually exist in a very small world - it's called their mind!! wink

More often than not its those who would not start a row; or even retaliate when warranted;, but who join in with their own contributions once its all kicked off. Thereby receving less attention but doing just as much stirring and vindictive behaviour.

It is obvious some people do take great pleasure in doing it - you can tell by the amount of effort that goes into it. Shame it is with the intention of taking someone else's pleasure out of it.
