I managed to lose our lottery tickets in October and they turned up unpacking the car over Christmas, and no I didn't win. However I went onto the lottery web site to check the tickets and the following, amazingly, are unclaimed -
£1,544,000 Swale area of Kent, 21/07/04, claim by Jan 17
£2,852,700 Wyre area of Lancs, 28/07/04, claim by Jan 24
£7,039,400 Belfast City, 07/08/04 Lotto extra, claim by Feb 3
and there are two unclaimed prices from the 6th November, one from Sandwell and the other Stroud, each one valued at £1,666,000.

Makes you wonder where those people are, possibly even knocked over by a bus or somethiing and ticket just thrown away confused
What does pee me off, is that that money goes back to Camelot, i think it should be passed onto the very charities it supposed to help in the first place mad
Unclaimed prize money is give to good causes, i am sure, so winners getting knocked over by a bus are at least still contributing to society in a small way.

I like to save up my lottery tickets for five or six months and then check them all at once. I figure why be disappointed every week?
As it happens I was in Lancs around the end of July and I usually buy lottery tickets wherever I happen to be. (Never heard of Wyre though). Can I find a lottery ticket dated 28/07/04? Yes I can biggrin
Am I going to check it now? Maybe ;)
