Love, Life &amp; Happiness

If there is one thing in this world I cherish more than anything else it is the love of life and the happiness that these two things reward me with... I have been lucky to know both love and happiness and it has manifested itself in many ways throughout my life..
My daughter - who gives love unconditionally
My parents - who judge but refrain from condemning me
My friends - who advise wise council but are still there to pick up the pieces when I screw up.
The people who have made me what I am - I am a sum total of my experiences and I have learned from each and every good and bad thing that has happened in my life.
More than anything else, I have learned that human emotions are fragile at the best of times and downright unreasonable at the worst but I have also learned that love, life & happiness is not my God given right to expect - but something that I should count my blessings for whenever it comes my way.

Love, Life, Happiness and Friends..... are all things that we seem to expect..... and receive in varying degrees.....
I am truly lucky...... i have them...... plus.... i hope that my family, friends and colleagues know how much i care about them too......
I have done an awful lot of thinking over the past few weeks since my quite serious accident.... my life could have come to an abrupt halt there and then.... it didn't and it has altered my perspective on the world and those around me.... makes them more precious...
and i hope i show this on a daily basis......

Hmmmm...interesting.
Tis not the love and happiness one has, but that which one gives.....
I'll take a month out at a buddist retreat and get back to you.

I always take each day as it comes and accept what life gives me good or bad. If its bad I try to learn from the experience and move on smile

first time i've ever seen 'wise' and 'council' used in the same sentance, as jumping sideway from the thread a little, i've just seen that a local council has ordered that warning signs be erected on a barbed wire fence to warn burglars of the danger????
wise council my arse!
