Love Life

Posting boots are firmly on today lol

The term love life, you don't hear it much these days.
Its been replaced with sex life.
That made me wonder. Did love life mean that you loved or were meant to love the person you had sex with?
I dont remember love life being used exclusively for long term relationships, so what in your opinion has changed, for it not to be called that anymore?

I see a love life as being with a person in an LTR, in love with them and being loved back. A sex life is just that....sex! Whether it be through swinging, no strings relationships or just having a fuck buddy, there's no deep emotional bond between you in those situations.
I used to have a love life and I miss not having one now :cry:

I still use the term love life, when others around me would use sex life.
I think it's a really simple explanation for this one-the word sex has become more acceptable in daily use, so "love" is no longer needed as a euphemism (which is what it was) for sex.
I'm an old fashioned girl at heart though wink

Lovelife to me is the romantic side - whether that's a new interest or a longterm relationship.
I'd ask a non-swinging friend who is dating "how's your love life" but I'd ask a swinger "how's your sex life".
That is because I am nosy! cool

Even if they were casually dating, maybe many people and not actually in love?

its always love life when I'm with rose doesn't metter how many are in the bed, can't stop loving her just because we are swinging, in fact at times I'd say it intensifies the love.. do singles have a love life though, no matter what we do in the bedroom I always see that side lacking for a third party, don't mind admitting even though we always have a three way cuddle after I do feel likes its an aspect that's lacking, don't think its a problem for our playmates , well at least I hope its not..nowt we can do about it if it is.

Relating to short term liasons, "love" was just a polite word for sex :!:
I was around in the old days, so can remember it well.
