Hi there
got a new macbook with built in i sight camera but does anybody know how to get it to work in the chatroom? I click on the my cam icon and my name appears on the right but the camera does not come on... HELP
Saw the title and thought "I know nothing of Scottish libraries"
i completly miss read it and thought it was mcbeth redface
Not sure if its the same with macbooks but...
have you right clicked the cam box>>> opened up settings>>> second icon along>> allow Sh to access your cam or some such wording>>
confused:
… and remember the trick is to use the USB option. The built in iSight uses an internal USB connection. It confuses everyone because the old stand alone iSight camera was Firewire.
Hope that helps.
Well i was going to start a similar thread, but i'll just hyjack this one..... how do you get the webcam on an intel based MacBook Pro to work with MSN. I'm sure i saw it mentioned somewhere but SH search always fails me rolleyes
Firstly, if anyone on here has any Mac questions then please feel free to ask me, as I'm an Apple Mac engineer.
When you click on the camera icon Adobe Flash should come up with a request allowing access. If it doesn't then you need to check the settings. To do this right click on the camera window in the top left (to right click with a one button mouse hold down the CTRL key and click)....select SETTINGS, and then then click on the camera tab and make sure you've got USB Video class video selected.
This should be the same with a MacBook Pro.
Incidentally I'm using Safari but I'm sure the same procedure is relevant for other browsers....and if you're using Internet Explorer on a Mac or a PC, DON'T!

Well sort of smile
It depends on how it's "stopped working" and which iPod you've got. The Apple website has stuff to help
Also here is details on how to reset your iPod:
Also, you can reset it via iTunes (plug it into your Mac/PC and it's on the summery page of the iPod).
I also once called Apple about my iPod and their technical support was very good.
