All i can say is am of work with man flue as Jane calls it, but if you women got it it would kill yas its BAD girls :cry:

I had the flu bug last week, but i struggled on!!
Only took one day off work and that was a Sunday!!

I was laid up in bed for about 6 days last time. Injuries I can cope with. Strange germy shit I can`t seerampaging through my body and I`m reduced to a blubbering wreck.
It`s just bad and wrong! evil

flu doesnt exist in my book, 35 yrs old I must have had it before with all these so called flu epidemics. Ive never been laid up in bed before, i've had bad colds which may have been flu but im not all poofy about it!!! get up and get going, its all in your head!!!!

I guess you have never had flu then. You are lucky.........there were 20 million people who died from flu between 1918-19. It was the biggest pandemic of influenza.
So if you got up and were not "poofy" about it......then you probably had a cold (more commonly known as Man Flu).

I`ve had `proper` flu just the once, years ago. It wasn`t nice, I ached all over, severely. The second time I thought I might be coming down with the flu it turned out to be Glandular fever. That wasn`t nice either, especially when I turned bright yellow as a result! Spent the best part of last year sleeping, recovering from viral fallout, and had to shelve most of my plans for working and college. It whipped my arse.
I get flu jabs and have been immunised for a certain strain of pnuemonia. It`s well worth doing. I`ll be getting vaccinated against Hep B soon too, that is probably the most important one of all in this lifestyle. I picked up the info on it on Monday. Apparently it is 100 times more contagious than HIV. One hangnail up your arse and you could be infected.
