after getting all misty eyed at the mere mention of artificer, kitkat, harry0, etc, i decided to review some old threads while i looked at the new ones! ((( i would heartily recommend it you lot, but mark's broke summat again! lol ))) the intemittent "clicking on next / page 1,2,3 / whatever" problem has once again reared it's ugly head, and dumps me back to the "welcome to swingingheaven / free site / piss off if you're selling summat" page! ;-) ! i've been very careful not to change a single internet / cookie option since last time i broke summat at my end, so is it down to you?
i think we should be told?
n x x x ;-)
Don't worry, he must be "tweaking" again..... rolleyes
MARK!!! STOP IT!
wink
I noticed the same thing occasionally happening with the new PM notification window........

Ahh, seems like this is the same thing I reported in another thread, which I assumed was a Mac only/obscure browser issue.
Just incase it helps, here's where one of the duff next page' links tried to send me:
removed the link because it doesn't work (obviously) but thanks for that as it has lead me to the problem (I think!) - Mark
I did try this in other browsers, but with inconclusive results - the thread got a lot longer before I could test anything ;-)
This problem seems to crop up sometimes for me also (3 or 4 times in the last couple of months.
There is a way around it though, rather than click the link at the bottom of the page or use the next page button you can link direct to the pages by typing in their addresses.

The link above is the one for page 11, to pick which page you want take the page number, subbtract 1 and multiply by 40. Then put the number in instead of the 400 at the end of the line.
So page 47 is 1840:-

This is also very useful to browse the old pages without clicking previous 50 or 60 times.
Oh well, since we are on a roll. If I click on my name, and try to surf to my personal site from my profile, I get booted from the site and have to log in all over again.
But I use AOHell, so no great surprises there..........

Scratch that, it decided to work!

Sorry, just noticed this. Are you saying that when you get the PM 'pop-up' window and then click on it it sometimes doesn't take you to the correct place? Does it ever? I will look into this too.
OK, and anymore for anymore? I'm now in fixing the site mood lol
No the actual pop up window contains that page rather than the "you have a new pm" message.

I take it you still havent worked out why it keeps underlining certain words,as in sex and xxx.

Do you two run adaware or anything? Sounds to me me that it's more like a spyware problem on your machine (but that's a totally uneducated guess).

No we don't,but i've just realised that it's stopped happening. redface
Well thats one less problem for you to sort out Mark
Steve,xxx
It seems to occur, or was at one point, when you clicked on a watch thread e-mail... and by the time you got there there and been enough additional posts to have a "next" page.
When you clicked the next page it dropped you back to the main site screen.
If you clicked on the formum then thread then next it seemed to then be ok.
