Does this site carry out any Market research at all. I for one havent been canvassed on anything. Seems like the site owners think of an idea and implement it whether the customer, ie us, want it or not. And that goes for the free ones as well as the paying ones, after all, if this site is good, the free ones will become paying onessmile
Stealth Cam and Whispers for one are an example, not many people wanted it but went right on sale the room capacity has increased to 120 alledgedly smile (cant get into a room if it goes above 90 myself) wern't asked if we wanted it to. Now if they did do some Market research they might find out what is really needed.
such as
an ignore button.
a block from viewing camera button.
an effective kick button, so people are blocked from room for the rest of the day.
a room filter button
a genuine cpl verification system. seen that on another site and seems to work quite well.
and MODS that dont come in boots flying without so much as a by your leave smile
spose others can think of more things needed. smile
rolleyes
And why didnt you simply pm this to the owners instead of making a song and dance in the forum about it??

But someone who has only been here since December(according to their profile) wouldnt know or care about that...
Unless they used the ever faithfull search button that is....
To be fair, 4T have (imo) started to listen a little more; if even in retrospect.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the stealth cam thing had been cancelled, or you're able to turn it off dunno
And the winks auto responses are at least being looked at ??

Yep....
Stealth is dead.....
Long live stealth..
Is it a song or dance or a forum for opinions. this site is quite good and i like being here, but somethings just seem to change and sometimes not for the better, Take what you say about the stealth cams, being turned off, but thats after they've sold them.

why shouldnt he post in the forum? rolleyes , its always interesting to me to hear peoples views on how things are for them on here, i cant recall anyone saying that when people express how happy they are with the new services, maybe by discussion in the forum without being jumped on or rediculed about the various issues, advancements for the good as opposed to the detrement of the site can be made.......... call it market research
imagine someone saying
isnt it about time sh had a winks system installed
discuss..........
staggy
Now we've set our profile to automatically respond to winks there's no problem with it and all seems back to normal on that front.
As for couple verification, am I (Flidais) the only women who has been asked, by a single man, to ring the 'couple verification line' of a certain site to prove he's a couple when he is not? This systems are not perfect, let's remember. (By the way, the guy who asked me to be his 'pretend' partner was very quickly told where to go mad )

Again - to be fair ............................
They made something available, as part of a package.
Nobody had to buy.
with the stealth cam, dosent that just prove a point, if they had asked the customer first they wouldnt be in the situation that it's in now.

I fail to see how that is a "situation" ...
Something was implemented that the owners believed ,in good faith, would be something that a lot of people would like....
It has turned out not to be so they have put things back to how they used to be..
you dont?, the site sold something as part of a package and now its been withdrawn, some people mightof bought it just for that feature... so there money is to be returned smile

Did you buy the package?
If you did then the best thing is to take it up with them personally....
If everything that the owners wanted to do with the site was debated in here then we would still be aruing about if there was going to be a cam chat room or not.
I dont recall my local supermarket asking me if I wanted a certain type of food to go on sale..................... rolleyes
aka the extra package
So as Dambuster has pointed out you don't have to buy it
So I did't buy it, I just moved on......................... lol
I'm sure if the product does not sell inthe supermarket it will be removed.........
aka stelth cams................
rolleyes
I havent bought it either as there's not too much in the package that interests me, and stealth cams dont bother me that much either, just I havent met many people who do. as for the supermarket analogy, dont really recall them selling something then taking it back off you cause nobody wants you to sell it.. but maybe , with a bit of research they could of put together something more people would buy.
one more that could be a good idea, is opening a room and setting a limit to how many people can come in yourself... 120 is too many to talk so why not be able to open a room with a max of 20 if you wanted to. beats having a locked room. smile

Room limits have been increased by admin to reduce the load on the server due to there being so many rooms open.....many with only 1 or 2 people in them...
Making the limits higher gives more people the chance to chat in rooms they would otherwise not be able to enter..

Your entitelled to your opinion however with only 5 posts to your name despite being a member since october (acording to your profile) I can't really see how you've had much experiance of "MODS coming in with boots flying" however that bulko does have a tendancy to leave his boots lying around (I tripped over the fookers on my way in this morning lol ).
Surely you mean the chatroom ops!!! and as even I'm venturing in to chat a bit now all I cam sugest is the only ones that object to them is those that have been repremanded. IMHO
As for the stealth cam it was debated rather hotly when introduced and the MAJORITY thought it was a bad Idea so admin listened to them and acted acordinally.
about the MODS, no, I havent been reprimanded, but had a situation this morning, the person hosting the room had lost connection, and now as you cant get back into the room for 5 mins or so, we had no room op, A MOD came in during this tempory absence, didnt say anything and closed the room.. could of asked where the op was or that he was shutting the room.
and I might only have 5 posts but have been in chat seems like permantly for ever smile

This is only my opinion but if I was in a room and wanted it to stay open even thought he roomop had left (for what ever reason) If I was asked where they were I'd obviously say "theve just nipped out for a min" or words to that efect.
I supose there was nothing to stop them creating another room when they regained conection is there? biggrin
that was the point, he didnt ask, in and out, then closed, we did open another room, but a bit unsettling getting booted mid sentence. smile

Worked then surely.......... most decent girls would do the same we think. Something is better than nothing!!

A MOD wouldn't have closed the room because a MOD moderates the forums and does not have the ability to close chatrooms. An OP however could well have done just this.... I refer you to the rules regarding this matter rolleyes

Interesting because I dont recall seeing your nick before dunno
Perhaps the question should be posed the the OP in question. I always ask where the room owner has gone before I close a room. If I dont get a satisfactory answer, the room closes. Simple as that. Otherwise the room is open to abuse without someone there to manage the situation effectively and fairly.
firstly OK i meant a chatroom op and not a MOD, my apologies.
and yes i do know the rules, but before jumping up and down on me about the rules and whether a room op is in the room and it should be closed, what about all the sites rooms, rarely seen an op in there, so that room is then open to abuse with no reprimand. smile
as for not seeing my nick before, usually find me in a kent room. chatting, when the site lets me that is.

We'd like to think so BUT this particular guy was actually offering me money to make the call..now, someone a little hard up may just take the cash and not have my scruples...so who knows how many 'genuine' couples there really are?

But they do carry out market research before products go on sale.
I can see both sides of the coin here, but I do think he has a point.
I don't know if the admin do any market research, but maybe it might be a good idea.
I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like some services made available and would be willing to pay for it.
Although I don't particularly want messages for market research every week, I can see the benefits for both the admin and the members of having volunteers from all parts of the site give their opinions and test ideas before the admin spend huge time and effort implementing something that nobody wants.
Morning all wave
shame some of us have our grumpy heads on lol because the original question was rather a good vehicle for debate. (imho)
I agree with the time factor involved in this, but surely every good business person / entrepreneur knows that extensive market research is the key to success?
how hard would it be to take a new idea and stick it in a poll?
the downside of this i guess is that the forum users are part of the vast minority of the paying members of this site, so in that sense i suppose it would probably not give a very accurate picture, but at least it would give some indication of the general reaction of members to a product. dunno
just my tupeneth worth, back to the grind rolleyes
