I am tempted to initiate a topic with this subject title in the Cafe.
It is not my intention to engender discord in this forum. I merely wish to draw attention to the inabilty of certain members and fairweather friends (you know who you are) to grasp the essence of my reasoning. To this end I need to point out that in spite of my unimpeachable use of the English language (which is the lingua Francain this forum) certain people (you know who you are) persist in misinterpreting my contributions. I am sure that the failing is entirely theirs; that it is due to a lack of comprehension on their part and can not in any way be attributed to any verbosity on my part. I repeat; I do not infer any personal criticism of any individual (you know who you are). What I am saying is that at all times I endeavour to place principles ( and grammar, punctuation, spelling and big words) before personalities in these discussions. I am adept at rational and civilised debate sans rancourand , as such, I have learned to disagree without being disagreeable.
The inability of some members to assimilate my erudite analysis sometimes brings me close to despair.
