i dont have a mouse mate surprisedops: it wire less!................... i use it it all sorts of persitions you no i move it here and there!................ooo mybe you dont!
some one explane to him!
i know why *looks smug*
if its a wireless optical mouse, it uses a laser. lasers on most mouse mats are crap. best idea? kids play mat, one of those laminated jobs. works amazingly well. or just laminate a piece of paper lol
2nd reason could be, if its wireless, its dropping the radio connection between it and the reciever. there should be a reset button on both - hold them both down, pointing the mouse at the reciever, for about 10 secs.
if that doesnt work......er.......*runs away*
I didn't know that you could move it about though, Debs.
*hangs head in shame*
I am thick, really.

You can try the usuals - reboot if you haven't done so (cures most mousey probs) and if still funny reinstall the driver

Nope, 'fraid not. Standard optical mouse assemblies use an LED as the illumination source, not a laser. The only commercially available mouse to use a laser is the Logitech MX1000.

Go on... admit it.. you hadn't taken it out of it's little plastic bag had you? smile
Phil.
It's probably the surface she was rolling it on... I use a plain white sheet that works wonders, you know printer paper!
hmmm.
I must be real wierd then, cuz I use the PC case, the arm of the sofa, my leg, the table top, whatever is handy when I want to use the mouse in fact smile
