At the risk of upsetting Carrie Ann I have to say I am having trouble accepting Mr argt05's rather insular view that all bikes are crap unless its his.

ok, lets put the record straight.
i'm only kidding here, and my philosophy on biking is the same as yours. ive literally been on a bike since i was a toddler. and I have owned and ridden some god damn awfully shit bikes in my time.
im fortunate enough to have been able to buy my dream bike this year.
Now, whilst i may be slightly having a dig at other bikes, it is purely in jest and not meant as anything else.
That is all, no malice nor offence intended. I respect anyone who gets on a Bike, even the young kids on their scoots, if they Nod to me i will do so back, as i remember when i used to get a nod when i was younger, it was like. wow, pufffed out chest time.
and also, i have pillion seat up for grabs if anyone DARE

Never mind young kids on their scoots.......what about granny bikes ( as my son calls me scoot rolleyes

) I remember the first time I got a nod from a biker when I was out on my scoot for the first and very nervous time and it made my day!

I wish it were of course, but the Harley custom was to illustrate my idea of a 'proper' bike . I'm far to practical and boring in me old age to own a machine like that - best I can manage at the mo is a rust bucket of a Ford Escort :cry:

Fellow Biker here too ( couple of Kwak Turbo's and a Z500 runabout ) There's quite a few bikers on scene and if you're planning on organising a run out CA you'll have quite a few takers. Check out the Born to ride group on here > http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/groups/440/
I was planning to sort out something myself for next year. A treasure hunt in the Derby dales and Possibly hiring a bunkbarn out for a group of us.
