So what happened
anyone care to suggest why GFZ and BFZ were so unceremoniously locked and please be polite in so doing...
if it was at someones request please say so., and also say who and why, it was not even midnight!!!

Yes Gman. I agree!!. I have just this minute finished work and was looking forward to continuing where we left off before I had to go out. What do I find on my return??? Jags really did have the key between her boobs, and whats more she has used it!!!

OK Mark am content to live with that ... but from few weeks I have been heer GFZ has been open til early Am Monday AM.... so Am off to restless sleep ... grassy knolll .... 100 years tween lincoln and kennedy etc etc

There are NO official opening hours for either GFZ or BFZ and usually they are locked on a Sunday night when the last mod around goes to bed and tonight it was with ceremony!!!
really can't say more cos I am bound to start a row this early in the morning and it won't make for a good day suffice to say I am now madder than I have ever been. No one requested closure and even if they did why would we do that????

no one suggested that the early closure had been for any reason.... I merely asked the question, what was happening and why.... Mark talked of conspiracy theories,,, I merely quipped about grassy Knolls etc ... I could have added lunar landings..
I for one was not aware that there was a timing issue related to Mods retiring.... and I suspect neither did our military friend...
Please do not have a bad day on my account.... mine will be bad enough as it is ... as I have to take my daughter to the funeral of a gent who had become a much loved grandfather figure to her over the last 10 years.... Cancer is such an indiscrimanate bastard... today will be thus tough enough without me having to think that I made you day bad....

I know, spookily, I get my results back today GMan, about a million to one chance of it being bad news, but it still scares the shit out of you. I doubt there are many who have not been touched by it in some way, and it is never a good way. Our thoughts are with you today, I hope those that attend are able to take the first step on the road towards peaceful memories.

Gman - my heart is with you and J - I hope everything went OK. I am beginning to understand what cancer ijn a loved one means - I found out my sister is seriously ill with it 8 days ago - this is the main reason why I was so down when I came back off my hols.
