Microbiologist wanted (added question on the end)

Can the mods let this one run for an hour please.
Is there a microbiologist or someone who has done sampling i.e. dip-slides and swabs out there. I need to ask a question or two tonight.
If you are out there.......help a thicko please

edit/ The question I need answering.
I have a lab report to be in tomoz. It is on sampling techniques. I have done the sampling with a dipslide and a swab.
The question is:
Were the two methods equally efficient at different levels of contamination?
No they were not (this was cos of my results)
If not why not?
This bit has got me baffled..........I haven't got a clue. Does anybody know of any websites that are any good

The answer is once every twenty minutes, so you have to know how old the swab is to glean any meaningful information from it. smile

I have had one serious pm.

Dave I dont know anything about it but:-
Would the absorption of the swab against the non-absorption of a dip slide have anything to do with it?

It's my belief that the two methods you chose would have been equally efficient at different levels of contamination which leads me to conclude and therefore answer your question......
