microsoft 2007

i have a new netbook and its got microsoft 2010 on it, but not word. i have a disc for microsoft 2007 which has word in it and teh key code but i cant load it on the netbook.
is it possible to load microsoft 2007 word to this netbook??

I'm guessing as its a new lappy you have windows 7 on it?
Can you see if its full version (think its under 'my computer') or some stripped down netbook/manufacturer version.
Also, are you logged in as an administrator? (check your user account settings)
A quick web scout has confirmed 2007 is compatible, although you might need to uninstall the 2010 version to do it.

Truly a Netbook ?
Most we've seen don't have either a CD or DVD drive, so having an Office 2007 disk might prove problematic to load

Do you have access to a PC with a dvd?. if so, copy the contents to a usb memory stickcd card. or if your netbook and PC-dvd are links to the same network just share the dvd drive and connect to it from your netbook

if it`s a netbook...
mine wont even download IE8 or any virus killers
apparently it stops viruses and stuff...

obviously a product of the throwaway culture sad

we`ve only just sorted out wireless bband... so it`s been mainly used for playing solitaire for the last 6 months or so !! :(
