but in the chatroom I find it just distracts me, I start to think what do they mean. With out the voice's music to the word it is just mmmmmmmmmmmm, no meaning.

I think that typing 'sounds' in chat perhaps shows the other person that you are still there and still reading without actually interrupting them. I think that's why I do it anyway. I've never really thought about it.

our youngest has only just stopped saying lol after everything but only because i always followed it with "but ya not laughing are you"
