I'm thinking of getting my first mobile phone. My partner has just replaced hers, and i was going to have her old one. I thought before that i'd ask here for any ideas.
What I want is a phone I really don't want a heat seaking, gameplaying, gps toting, colour changing, mp3 inclusive, wap enabled, time telling, message, receiving, ring tone changing, answering service, bluetoothed diary the size of a credit card one!
Ideally i would like one with fairly large buttons and a large screen that does as little as possible. Preferably all it does is take and make phone calls. I dont really even want texting facility.
Anyone know of any such phone?
I believe there are a couple of "no frills" phones at the moment you can get for around £20- try taking a look in Woolies- customer service is crap but they usually have some basic phones. The Virgin network is the likely one you'll end up on- Im a virgin, sorry on virgin too.
I think theres a basic Nokia about that fit's your bill, but they will all have texting on them.
But surely for you GPS would be an advantage? lol
HTH XX
Dont take this the wrong way wink but try googling phones for the elderly as stileto is sure she heard about one's being made with larger buttons & not to complicated.

Are you sure you want a mobile phone?

Orange have phones starting at The down side is that I think you have to put £20 top-up on when you buy them confused
Lost, I've got just the fone for U - It's the Nokia 1600 - the most basic phone U can get, easy to use and good size buttons. Widely available on most networks on pay as U go tarrifs for under 20 quid. U can buy off the net and some supermarkets stock it as well as the usual fone stores. Don't pay more than 20 quid :-)
