Having not long arrived in the office, I am already considering throwing myself out of the window as my monday pet hates have a emerged already..
Those being..
1. People who you know have been out all weekend making up some lame excuse to call in sick and putting on the "I am dying" voice.
2. People pestering you over the weekend with emails, now asking for an immediate response as you haven't yet got back to them.. Sorry love, I don't work every weekend, thank god.
3. The vending machine company not arriving yet, I need my Go-ahead bar this morning thany you please..
4. All systems are down..!
So there's 4 of mine.. any others..?

Just for future reference... the "I am dying" voice sounds somehow more authentic if you are leaning backwards off the bed as you make the call - my flatmate was genius at it! (I used to work shifts so was often off or on lates on a Monday... we had some HUGE Sunday nights out in those days!)

My mate hates Monday mornings big time - he works for a vending machine company fixing them. 
One of my hates is the stumble into the shower first thing in the morning. I really do hate that initial wake up spray. Mind you it only takes a moment feeling like that. Then i love the feeling of the glorious water raining down. That is at times second to none.
Oddly in a similar vein is my second hate. My first drink of the day. I find it so difficult to get that first swallow down that it can make me gag. After that one swallow then its love all the way
Third thing hmmmm Oh yeah kids.

Knowing that if I've had a heavy night on Sunday, I have no choice about working Monday. If I rang in sick, I'd tell myself to get my sorry ass into gear
Wondering where the weekend went cos it only seems like yesterday it was Friday. Although, I think Mondays are more difficult simply because you've got out of the routine.

I think my dislike for Mondays was instilled in me by too many Garfield comics. It may be a subconscious thing that I wake up late on Mondays, don't feel like I've slept well no matter what time I went to bed, and so on...
Hearing the rain would normally put me right back to sleep too, but I know I have to go out in it on Mondays. Dammit.

i work mainly weeends so my 'monday' feeling starts on a thursday .. in reality i LOVE mondays because its the first chance of a lie in after a hectic weekend of working
