Hello, question for swinging heaven. I have been a member some time, but I have just found out that after a year my free membership will become monthly payments of Â£15. I would just like to know how long do I have left before I will have to start paying Â£15 a month? Thankyou, sticky.

when this 15 pound comes into effect i recon alot of ppl will leave for all the free sites ex members are makeing

It is Â£15 per month or Â£50 per year.
Premium membership ends for the pre take over members in December. Any new members registering have to pay to become premium members (to post and send pms)

Â£15 is way over the odds, look at the amount of members if we all paid that SW would be millionaires in just a few months.
Â£15 for 12 months would be better & more of us would stay then, I wont be paying Â£50 for 12 months i know that mad

And how do you reckon this....its not set in stone yet wether old members will have to pay,its in Admins best interests to keep them it will be reviewed nearer the time!

I think it is quite valid to raise this as a discussion point now so that the owners can guage the feeling of users - after all no harm in talking about it
I personally feel that Â£15 per month is way over the odds

I have copied the link to the annoucement made by the Admin around the time changed hands. They did say that they would be introducing a Premium Membership which is what a few of you have quoted, and they said that members from before the take over would not have to pay for at least the first year, and likely would not have to pay forever. However they did say this would be reviewed.

So before we all jump on the Admin yet again, and pull them to pieces, shouldnt we wait and see what happens? So far, as far as I am aware, theyhave stuck by everything they have said.
Just a thought but lately it seems that people just log on here to have a go at the Admin and each other. Personally I thought we all logged on to have fun rather than moan yet again! I can watch Eastenders if I want to be miserable rolleyes

I really can't see why people keep flapping about this everyones membership expires in december and as you all know it's a hell of along time off yet. So here is my solution what will be will be and no amount of worrying will affect the outcome so how's about we all forget about it and sit back and enjoy what is still a very good site to be part of biggrin

personally i think a lot of the long standing members on here will go when the membership fees come in, not sure if i will pay Â£50 a year will have to see who else stays b4 i decide that, i know one thing tho we will have a joint name i not be paying Â£50 a year each lol

The thing is NN, no-one as actually said that existing members will have to pay. The Admin have said they will review the situation at the end of the year, so we might never have to pay.
Obviously, if the membership fee was brought in, then a lot of us would just go elsewhere, but untill they actually tell us we need to pay, Im not even worrying about it wink

ok, lets not worry ,
but put it into perspective,
if you were to pay Â£50 per year, and im thinking only those who intend to use for a whole year would pay up front, which also means you are likely to use it each day.... well Â£50 divided into 365 days is about 13 pence per day , if your on for say 3 hours a day thats 4 pence per hour. so although i wont pay, pmsl, its not a bad price is it?
cost less than your daily paper, tv licence, pint of milk, bar of chocolate etc, but its not worth moaning about .
i agree until it happens. enjoy what youve got. and maybe think about how much these posts piss off some of those valued newer members who have paid and are likely to keep having to pay.
if some one gives you something for free smile and say thankyou , not hummphh what about the next time will i get it free again?
