more on the left please!

When typing out posts, PMs etc I like to use the occasional emoticon. As I write this I have a selection on my left, which I can simply click on without having to navigate away from the page (as in pressing 'View More Emoticons').
When I press 'view more emoticons' a new window is opened up, but it doesn't seem to work after the first post, as in when writing a second, third post, I have to close that window down and repress 'view more emoticons'.
So, can we please have the full list of emoticons on the left of this page please? (or is it just me?)...
I did try searching for this topic, but frankly the search button is a :wanker: :twisted: redface

my dearest misterwood, if you did your revision properly you would be able to list all emoticons without having to refer to the list!!
I can recommend a VERY good teacher who would probably assist you in the after school detention, whilst you learn these emotes by rote! :twisted:
she is well versed in the art of extra curricular activities and I know would be MORE than willing to come to your aid!!

The window should still work whilst it's still open. Sometimes in Firefox though it puts the BB code at the bottom of the message rather than where the cursor is. It's a simple javascript function that just puts the code into the text area of the form on the page that initially opened it.
I have no idea why it doesn't work like that for you though.

Cheers Peanut. I seems to work for a few posts then doesn't. But I guess it would still be easier for everyone if they were all on the left instead of having to open a new window. I shall write to my MP!

In fact you should PM yer MP to get 'em to raise it with the PM.
I agree that it would be better to have them all on the left hand side. The selection box that opens up seems to be really flakey these days - slow and unreliable. A good friend tells me she spells 'em all out - I can't remember 'em.
Incidentally, has anybody else said in work "I'll PM you." when they mean I'll email you?

Just thought it might be more useful if we had a bigger selection on the left (or the right if you're left handed wink

).
There are a lot of popular emoticons which are not on this small selection.....

If when you open the emoticon page you wait for them ALL to load before choosing the one you need, you will find that the page will work as long as you want it to. Choosing one before it's finished loading renders the others useless.
