So, Eminems new single - what do we think??? i'm guessing he's having a pop at GWB and telling people to take a stand against him..... am i right??? if so, then i think the song ROCKS!! if not, then WTF is it about???
I would sing it but...... erm............. rolleyes
The song is an anti-Bush protest, it was brought out before the elections in America to encourage young adults to go and vote and use their democratic rights to influence who runs the country. Unfortunately the dithering twonk still got back in rolleyes
It's amazing as per usual, I love eminem and his single mosh is a cracker and yes he is having a pop at GWB and why not, lol. Daft old git that he is. evil
I'm not usually into Eminem but I think this is a great song! Has a lot of lyrical power and an infectious slow beat. The animated video for "Mosh" is really cool too! cool Yeah, it rocks for sure!
LC
Oh well know i know for definite what its about i think it's WICKED!! (maybe he'll look on here and whisk mr away for a night of passion!!)
im not a great lover of hip hop,but eminem is a exceptional talent,is lyrics are some of the best worship
redface Eminem.. the only famous person I seriously have a 'crush' on surprisedops: (and think his lyrics are pure genius)
love the video and song it's one of those that sticks in your head. Although where did he get those gold "stop hammer time" pants from I want some.
ooooo eminem
love his songs ..........love him
Quote by DeniseBabe
I dont think ive even heard it confused
Been walking as i wanted the exercise so havnt heard the radio in a while redface

Purely in the interest of the others..........
Intro:
(Kids: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America..
(BOOM)
(Kids: And to the Republic..)
Eminem: People..
(Kids: For which it stands..)
Eminem: Hahaha..
(Kids: One nation under God.. Indivisible..)
Eminem: It feels so good to be back!
Verse 1:
I scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel, re-energize and rewind
I give sight to the blind, my insight's through the mind
I exercise my right to express when I feel it's time
It's just all in your mind - what you interpret it as
I say to fight, you take it as I'ma whip someone’s ass
If you don’t understand, don’t even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a father-less past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon
That has, or at least shows, no difficulty multi-taskin' and juggling both
Perhaps mastered-his-craft slash entrepreneur
Who has helped launch a few more rap-bags
Who’s had a few obstacles thrown his way
Through the last half of his career
Typical manure, moving past that
Mister kiss-his-ass-crack, he’s a class-act
Rubber-band man, yeah, he just snaps back
Chorus:
Come along, follow me, as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength
Come with me, and I wont steer you wrong
Put your faith in your trust, as I guide us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel we gon’ fight
We gon’ charge, we gon’ stomp
We gon’ march through the swamp
We gon’ mosh through the marsh
Take us right through the doors
Come on..
Verse 2:
All the people up top, on the side and the middle
Come together, let's all form this swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
No matter what color, all that matters we're gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains, let it rain
Yeah, the wetter the better
They ain’t gon’ stop us - they can't
We're stronger now, more then ever
They tell us "No", we say "Yeah"
They tell us "Stop", we say "Go"
Rebel with a rebel yell
Raise hell - we gon’ let em know
Stomp, push, shove, mush..
Fuck Bush
Until they bring our troops home, c'mon, just..
Chorus:
Come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength
Come with me, and I wont steer you wrong
Put your faith in your trust, as I guide us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel we gon’ fight
We gon’ charge, we gon’ stomp
We gon' march through the swamp
We gon' mosh through the marsh
Take us right through the doors
Come on..
Verse 3:
Imagine it pourin’, it's rainin’ down on us
Moshpits outside the oval office
Someone’s tryin to tell us something
Maybe this is God just sayin' we're responsible
For this monster - this coward that we have empowered
This is Bin Laden
Look at his head noddin’
How could we allow something like this without pumpin' our fists
Now, this is our final hour
Let me be the voice, and your strength and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify it, times it, and multiply it by sixteen million
People are equal at this high pitch
Maybe we can reach Al Qaeda through my speech
Let the president answer our high anarchy
Strap him with a AK-47, let him go fight his own war
Let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our own soil
No more psychological warfare to trick us to thinking that we ain’t loyal
If we don’t serve our own country, we’re patronizing our hero
Look in his eyes, its all lies
The stars and stripes, have been swiped
Washed out and wiped and replaced with his own face
Mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight, you’ll know why
‘Cuz I told you to fight
Chorus:
Come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength
Come with me, and I wont steer you wrong
Put your faith in your trust, as I guide us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel we gon' fight
We gon' charge, we gon' stomp
We gon' march through the swamp
We gon' mosh through the marsh
Take us right through the doors
Come on
Outro:
Eminem: And as we proceed to mosh through this desert storm.. in these closing statements, if they should argue, let us beg to differ.. as we set aside our differences, and assemble our own army to disarm this weapon of mass destruction that we call our president for the present.. and mosh for the future of our next generation.. to speak and be heard.. Mr President.. Mr Senator..
(Kids: Hear us, hear us?.. Hahaha)

Well it wouldnt be the first time some famous "artist" has taken a pop at a major figure on a tender topic for their own gain now would it??..
The very fact that you cant tell what he's going on about says something about the choon itself. Pop stars and poliics dont mix..
Like when that knob from Blue thought he'd get on his soap box.
so you read the lyrics then magic confused:
pop and politics eh,try jerry dammers and" free nelson mandella"
he didnt do it for exposure,he believed in the cause, and believe me eminem does not need the dosh mad

I just think the loud people are always the opposing people!.. I'm just glad People voted with their heads using their own minds and not voted as Artists think people should vote.
Besides i never said it was about money!.. i said it was about gain!.. not financialy.. coz as you seem to know .. he dont need any.
But releasing a choon which puts him on the political stage does mean that in this current climate his track would be more relevant than it would be releasing a crimbo choon in march!.
Anyway.. dont look like it changed things either way now does it?.
All im saying is its a matter of opinion i suppose!..
its not about being for bush or against him... its just easy to slate someone for doing what they believe in and after somethings being done slate it some more...
Its easier to raise a question then to have the answer!!..
Oh and just coz the guy has a few quid dont mean that he dont want anymore!..
When you get laid it dont mean you dont ever want to get laid again!!!!! biggrin
very good response magic, but what i was trying to get across was(and failed)
this aint the lightweight from blue, but eminem, who to be quite honest dont give and never as(a flying f*ck,what anyone thinks)just writes in my opinion brilliant lyrics, and i believe thats the reason why hes so damn good, like i said earlier i dont like hip hop,but man do i like great lyrics, and mosh is in my humble opinion genius biggrin wink

hey thats cool.. infact if i said i thought he was crap id be lying too!.. but i think(and im not a hip hop fanatic) there are more ..much more better rappers/artists with more real lyrics than that of Eminem.. i still think he's just a gimic (or hoever ya spell that...) for Doc dre and the label..
I mean only a white guy would and could rap about anti war issues and get away with it. In his up in smoke tour he even admits that he wouldnt sell as much if he was black.. and he wouldnt.. the other rappers are simply anti establishment where as Eminem can go that bit more deeper coz he's that bit more accepted.
But hey thats the great thing about music eh?.. we can have our own opinions and tastes!..
Personally... (totally off the subject).... id love to f**k the arse off cheryl tweedy from girls aloud!.
Anybody remember the George Michael song a coupla years back where his video was made by 2DTV which was taking the p*#s out of Dubya and Tony B. Saw a documentary about George Michael yesterday and they were showing clips the video. Poor George got hammered by the press ... still thought twas bloody brave of him. Fair plays to these artists who show that they do have and will show their opinions be it popular or unpopular. Shows that some actually know what's going on in this crazy world of ours. rolleyes
Must admit I'd never listened to it - but am now
So far impressed biggrin

saw a documentary on mtv on rap,and every single artist on there all black, said they would never do battle with eminem, yes hes used being white as a gimmick, but jeez he can kill you with words,oh and by the way "cherly tweedy"yes please

yes but the thing is....
all or most of them rappers were prob on either his label "shady records" or "death row records"...
but yeh i do admit... he's def got some lyrics.
anyway... back to tweedy!.
Politics and music DO mix - its a failed mix but even trying, even Lee from Blue, its worth something.
The Who - The Clash tried.
Try Chumbawamba!
How crass to hi-jack an important thread with nosense about f**king the arse off Girls Aloud's Cheryl Tweedy..
..moans softly,starts to rub his..
..Cheryl Tweedy and music do mix.
I'd like to f**k the arse off Politics and Music..
..moans..
Thought this was going to be about Mosh Pit Classics. My favourite losing my bump toe doc and then fainting at the Damned. Being dragged semi conscious onto the stage and having to sit there for most of the gig - Bliss!!!
Not heard MnM track yet. I finally realise I'm caught in a musical time warp
The whole album is pretty good, especially track 14, Ass like that-Brilliant and hilarious lol
