...can anyone think of any? Or any kind of adventurous sexual practice, or even being sexual in general. I've been thinking about this and it seems that it's almost always shown as dark or twisted or "they realised they didn't need to have sex with other people and were happier just with each other".
Even filmmakers who consider themselves to be avant-garde or arthouse or outside of the mainstream seem to find it very hard to condone anything other than straight monogamy, preferably in the missionary position. I'd like to find some films that do show it in a good light (ha as opposed to well lit porn), because that will get me out of having to make one...

*I haven't seen shortbus but I bet the moral of the story is that it's better not to...

Sounds interesting, what's the moral of the story? does anyone decide they like it and sticks with it in the long run and it works out for them, or do they all either split up or stop swinging?

'You always hurt the one you love,' observes narrator Fi For, what was intended as a game — something to spice up some secure, danger-free lives — turns into a negative catalyst. Resentments, suspicions and jealousies are slowly unleashed. Characters realise how they are unable to communicate with their partners. Relationships crumble."
I find this interesting. No matter how open-minded these filmmakers would like to think that they are, it seems that they are unable to think beyond "thou shalt not commit adultery, and thou really shalt not enjoy it..."
