I have just spent 30 minutes writing a long thread on a matter that I felt was important about sexual culture, including the disabled (in which I have a personal interest) - it was rejected outright :!:
This is not the first time this has happened - it is so unfair :!:
Plim mad

Sounds as if your session timed out. If you have a post to make that is going to take time to compose, it's well worth while copying it before submitting. That way if your session has timed out you can just log on, reopen the thread and paste what you took time composing:-)
Or compose it in word and copy/paste.
Nevermind, write it again lol
It's happened to us all at some point.
louise xx
Even better is to write the post in Word, then just copy and paste it into your reply box.
Sorry to hear about this Plimboy - at least you'll rmember next time!
yup, I know for myself I've gotten into the habit of always having "notepad" open... so if I know I'm going to spend some time on a reply I'm really thinking about I put it in there first, then paste and copy when I'm ready... this also has the advantage that you can keep an eye on the topic in case someone else replies in the meantime... I've looked an idiot in the past when someones beat me to it simply because I've taken my time to type out a more considered reply...

That's right Plim, you can be typing away for ages, maybe go off and do something, but when you come to post, you've been timed out. The best way to not lose anything is when you've finished typing, highlight all your typing, right click on your mouse and press 'copy'. If you've been timed out, you can go back and start the thread again but all you would have to do is to right click and press paste and you're thread content will be back again.
Hope this has helped a little bit kiss

:laughabove:
As you can see I proved my point!!!
I think it is 27 mins before you are timed out. lol
Word, copy and paste is the way to go
Also, I think I remember reading that if you click on "preview" every so often while writing your post, it stops you being timed out.
Write it again, Plim, it sounds like an interesting and post-provoking topic.
A trick I use is to preview your post every now and then as this refreshes your session..
Thank you all so much for your help. biggrin
Will try again shortly as guided.
Kindest regards,
Plim lol
I think Jonh Wayne had it right when he was quoted as saying. Say it slow, Say it deep, But dont say too much. lol

lol On that last point of yours Brummies - the one I've highlighted - I never bother about rushing to post. To my mind a response is a response, and is just as valid whether it comes before or after someone else posting something similar.
Chin up Plim, happens to us all at some point... smile
