Did anyone else see this programme on BBC 2 tonight.................. a very compelling and sometimes sad programme about a couple with a teenage son. The dad Richard went through a sex change op 9 years ago and still lives with the woman he married 25 years ago. It was mostly told through the eyes of the teenage son and it was heart warming...... I hate to say it, but well done BBC.

It was very good. Quite a remarkable family, & the son had a first-rate attitude to the whole thing, which I suppose is credit to the parents & the way they have brought him up.

I hate paying my licence fee, just glad the beeb have produced such a inspired piece of filming.
Aww shame I missed this one. Glad to hear that it was a good programme though that didn't take a judgemental view of the family, it can only help to raise understanding.
sad
Just been through that turmoil with my" brother/sister" and know what its like first hand xx
Its not easy to come to terms with but we understand.

Well the second installment of "Real Wife Swaps" was on last night an hour after "My Dad Diane", & also the Power of Nightmares. I taped the latter & I'm about to enjoy it with my lunch, before watching the final one in the series tonight on BBC2. So two damn good documentaries that I am glad to be able to see properly this time around.
