My Friends

I agree to chat to a friend so look at the My Friends list and it says last seen 8 hours ago.
I go into chat and there they are.
What's that about ?

I think it can be a number of things.
For example they may have only just logged on and the cache has not refreshed and so the message is what was happening 15 minutes ago.
It has never been a reliable indicator of where people are at any particular moment.
What I can't get over is that some people seem to be able to tell that you're on site through a sixth sense!!

That's probably because we are creatures of habit and tend to be online at similar times each day.

I don't think so. Tune essence seems to be right, the info is about 10 minutes out of date and the chatrooms are different servers so the main site sees permanent chatters as inactive.
BTW the converse happens too. Peeps that are not logged in are shown as Browsing in their profile and offline in the friends area.
Why would anyone want to hide from me :D
