without trying to upset anyone - is there a method via the forums to name and shame the guys/gals who go to great lengths to arrange meets and then not show up.
If a list of time wasters could be posted somewhere it could save a lot of wasted trips.
I'm talking in particular about the guys who have sex craved partners(all imaginary!). I'm sure we have all been had on this game at some time. Us single, genuine guys, get hit far too often by this game.

try asking to talk to these women on the phone b4 you arrange to meet, if they are imaginary they not be there to talk to, no chat no meet......simple

Always a problem...my success rate about 25%...but the meets that do happen are usually worth being part of! Just take a deep breath and make a note to avoid that contact again unless their reason is genuine, and they subsequently get back to you. Remember, your car might break down one day! Keep trying.......

When we first started out on the site admittedly we "backed out" of 2 meet ups due to nerves, we did eventually meet up with one of the couples who we now still chat to and are likely to see again.
There are all sorts of reasons people back out, we had it happen to us a little while ago and had gone as far as getting hotels sorted etc and the couple decided that they were not ready to meet up as they were new to the scene. After initially being a little peeved, we quickly realised that they were probably in the same situation we were when we first started on SH and thought "such is life".
If people contact you before - hand and cancel then that is their prerogative, you have to deal with it im afraid, though i can understand if you arrange a meet up go to said venue/meeting place and they dont show, that people may be a little annoyed!!
A phone number and fem/fem chat is the route we now take, we insist on it very early on, we ask them on initial contact and then if the guy says his partner is out but will be back at such and such a time we say we will call shortly after. You can gauge by their response whether they are genuine usually and after maybe the second time chatting to them online they are still making excuses as for the lack of fem/fem phone chat, its time to move on and look elsewhere.
I think a rating system is a bad idea, as others have said its open to abuse and misuse, people might hold a grudge/not like a person/s and leave bad feedback/ratings etc??
You can, like others again have said, generally find out through the international medium of "the grapevine" whether people are alright or not on the chatrooms. At the end of the day i dont think we will ever see a ratings system on SH, its part of the grand SH tapestry that you come up against these things, learn to deal with it and move on!!

We just think when it works out great... if it doesn't for whatever reason then so be it. Wasn't meant to be.... simple!
Can't make anyone do try or be anything less than they are comfortable with. We know without a doubt we wouldn't want anyone to meet us under any kind of duress in case they were slated in here for not doing so.....
Bad idea..
And to turn it round and put positive feedback up is just as bad... open to abuse in all kinds of ways..
Lets just keep the fun of things like it should be. Otherwise its just too clinical! confused

I'm going to name and shame myself.
Last night I intended to have a nice wank. But somehow it didn't happen. The intention was there, I had arranged everything down to the last detail, but at the very last moment I found I could not bring myself to do it.
However I am a forgiving kind of guy and this morning I was reconciled with my offending behaviour.
So that's one for any kind of hit list out there.........

not getting into naming & shaming people. We all have choices about meets. It would be nice if you were told beforehand that he/she/they can't meet but hey thats life some don't.

does not make it much harder for newer members to get involved in the scene? If someone has no ratings, are others going to ignore them? How do they get the ratings in the first place?
Would this not also put some people off wanting to meet someone who appears to have 'been around' (the people may never have played, but they have a high rating due to socially knowing a lot of people).

I think the fact your avatar and profile keep changing may have put some people off, as one of the Mods mentioned your previous pic showed you to be a black male sitting on the edge of a bed with a laptop computer and now u are what can only be described as a male fitness model.
