Following a bit of a traumatic morning, I got to thinking about natural abilities. You know what I mean? That talent that, to some people, just comes naturally and you don’t have to learn.
For instance, I suppose the obvious one being an artist. I don’t honestly believe that it’s something that you can learn. Maybe it’s something that can be taught, after all, you do learn art at school, and maybe you will become good, but you will never be that master, unless you have that natural talent. So maybe in some cases it’s something that teaching can bring out in an individual, but with all the teaching in the world, some people will only ever attain a certain standard and never exceed that.
Now that being said, I also reckon that we all have a natural flair for something. Those of us who recognise it are very lucky, but even those that do show a natural ability may not recognise themselves as having that ability. For instance, take someone that is good at cricket. Certain hand-eye co-ordination is a natural ability. Sure you can work on it and become good, but those individuals would maybe have to “think†about catching a ball, those with a talent would not even think about it. However, they may not necessarily recognise this as a natural ability.
I reckon that this works for all sorts of things. I once saw a plasterer plaster a huge wall. He just set about his task and did it. Now to me, someone who has always wanted to plaster well, I was absolutely stunned at what he did.
Ok, from the sublime to the ridiculous. What about making love?
Look back at the people you have been with in your lifetime. Not saying that you would compare, because that is not a trait that I find appealing, but pound to a penny you would look back on one particular session and think – wow – he/she was bloody incredible. Why is that? Is it something that maybe comes with experience? Is it because they had a certain persona, is it that there body was perfect for you? All sorts of questions, but possibly that individual had a natural talent for satisfying someone else.
What about those that are into S&M? Not everyone can spank someone and do it with a fondness, a caring sense knowing that the other is enjoying it. To some, you can’t even really learn it and become expert – why? Because it just does not come naturally. Now fair enough, you may learn it and enjoy it, but I would say that that was a natural talent that had just been undiscovered.
So, where am I going with all of this? Well I discovered another natural talent that some people have and they just happen to be dentists. Crap I hear you saying, you can learn to be a dentist. Quite correct, but picture the scene:
Me, prostrate in the dentists chair, mouth agape.
Dentist: So how are your teeth George (he always has called me George) as he shoves the mirror to the back of my mouth

Dentist: Ah, I thought that one would be playing up
Me: jjeeeeeesk wwwannner
Dentist: No, I don’t think it needs filling unless it has a small hole – just going to spray it with some water to see if its sensitive
Me: FUUUUUUUCCSSSSSSSSSS SHIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Dentist: Yes I agree, reckon you have a small hole. You will have to come back for that so I can sort it out for you. Let me check the rest. Have you been watching the athletics at Helsinki?

Dentist: Oh yes she did ever so well, the only gold you know. Ooh, just need to give you a quick clean round the gums. Did you see our new receptionist? Let me slip this bib around you. Don’t want blood on your shirt do we (laughs)
Me: mmmmmmm veuuurg mmmm asssssssit ooooohhhhhh
Dentist: yes I agree she is quite attractive. Ok, just a quick swish round and spit George and you’re done. See you in a couple of weeks for that filling
So you see what I’m getting at here. They have a natural talent for understanding what you are saying even though your mouth is full of cotton wool, drills, mirrors, a fist, a gallon of water and some pointy sharp thingy. Quite amazing really.
Bloody hell – imagine what they are like in the bedroom ……………..

Nope last week was supine, prostrate must have been the week before ......

I think the whole medical proffession has a talent verbally. I once had to have an operation on my dick, local anaesthetic ! And yes, you've guessed it, the surgeons exact words were " just a small prick" before plunging the needle in under the head of my cock. I've discovered a number of talents which seem to come naturally to me. They don't normally kick in until after about 10pm though.
On a serious note I do think that most people must have at least one talent, even if it's just being a twat.

what kind of upsets me about talent is thinking of loads of people who have a natural talent for something but opportunity never comes their way.
how many concert pianists, gymnasts, composers, artists, or whatever kind of skill that never crosses anyones path...could anyone be brilliant at, but they just dont know it?
