Excuse me if I've got the naturist/nudist terminology wrong, I'm not intending to offend so went for both. Anyway, a friend has suggested a trip to Spain that may include a trip to a nudist beach. I'm a tad reluctant :shock: but I'm not sure if it's just my reluctance to spend a holiday on the beach rather than sightseeing/shopping/cafe-hopping or if it's more that I'd be covered in confusion & embarrassment. Have you ever visited a nudist beach? Would you?
I can't say I've done the naked beach thing myself, but living in Brighton you can't help but have the occassional saunter past the nudist beach (it always seems full of wrinkly orange blokes doing meerkat impressions over the mounds of 'privacy' pebbles ;)). I suspect the fact that your offer is in Spain would make a world of difference in terms of sunshine and better beaches. And if - like Brighton - it's merely 'clothing optional' then you could just as easily sus the place out before making any commitments yourself.

On our first trip to Cap D'agde, Shel was very nervous about going nude. When it came to the crunch of taking her clothes off and walking round, she LOVED it. Mind, I was very nervous ! There will be all shapes and sizes at any nudist beach, there will be the stunningly beautiful to the ugly................all human life is there !! Just go for it and try it..........what's the worst that could happen? Sunburn in the wrong place........use plenty of high factor !!! John & Shel

I had a quick look at your profile, and noticed you have listed exhibitionism as an interest, so I cannot believe you are shy. Which leaves us with sightseeing/shopping/cafe-hopping, I also noticed you are female, so clearly it must be a fear of missing shopping time! :lol:
Unless it's a specific area controlled/owned by a naturist group then clothing is always optional....lots of girls are happier with their bikini bottom on. There cannot exist a rule which insists you must be naked in a public place, even if it's designated as a naturist beach. Of course i live in Brighton, and, like all of these beaches it will attract the voyeur and the downright curious.....but there's also the unofficial nudist beach which gets much busier and lends itself to some play activities too sometimes, and of course the tourists don't know about that one.

Ahh, but there's exhibitionism in a sexual setting - club, party etc - and then there's getting yer kit off in broad daylight in public :shock: To me, there's a difference!

we went to nudist beaches on mallorca last summer ... very liberating and if you dont wear clothes your the one that feels odd lol. even if when you go you still unsure kust wear a bikini or swimsuit no one will care either way... just like here in clubs etc some ladies like sex naked some prefer to keep some sort of clothing on
we go every year if the weather permits. when kids was little we took them as well. nice way to get a all over tan..still get cpls with little ones, but ours have turn into teenagers lol. after sun set regs have a big fire n adults sit around n catch up on the gossip. gr8 way to make friends.
The first time I went on a clothing optional beach at first I didn't strip off, but as Sara says I felt far more self consious like that so very quickly stripped off. Maybe as a bloke you feel more likely to be regarded as a "perv" if you are still covered up. Whatever you decide I think you'll pretty quickly reach the choice that you're comfortable with.

Nola, depends where in Spain you are to some extent. having spent 5 weeks near Puerto de Mazzaron the other year, then we had private pools on the doorstep, public beaches next, or if we fancied a short drive west through Bolnuevo there were some 7kms of little coves and beaches - that actually got a lot better the further along the dirt road west towards Canada de Gallego, indeed much less crowded and most days having 1/2km of beach to ourselves. So yes we did :lol:
I love nuddy beaches. Anyone who knows me will probably tell you I'll get naked at the drop of a hat, any excuse, but only went to a naturist beach for the first time a couple of years ago, dragging G along to Slapton Sands in Devon. She was less keen than me, and had a bit of an issue getting her white bits ( or more accurately, blue bits ) out but felt very natural. Like being a small child again when I could get away with running about nekkid on a beach with noone batting an eyelid and me being innocent enough not to care if they did. Something strangely liberating about staring out to sea and discussing the waves with a 70 odd year old bloke, the both of us with our tadgers out like it was the most natural thing in the world. I like it.
I'm all for being nude where appropriate and love to try to tan my white bits, but I find it a bit impractical as a lady to sit on sand, rocks, chairs or be like that at certain monthly times.... Lol Best option has always been simple small bikini bottoms to put on when you are not actually bathing :-) Pam xx P.s. String sided ones are the best...you can undo the sides when needed and back afterwards, no getting up and balancing on one leg with a towel pulling them up lol :-P

when in Ibiza i go to the nudist beach all the time and its worth doing some research on which one you intend to go to as some have action going on. a true nudist beach will have all sorts of people and family's and is very relaxed, noone ever judges you if you dont go fully nude and i rarely find any british people strangely
I went on to a nudist beach in spain a couple of years back! It was exciting and a little nerve racking but I would do it again tomorrow! Would prob have to do the same as last time though and go into the see to "cool off" :-)
My first venture was at Brighton - just to test the water as it were. Apart from the whistles & jeers from those who don’t understand (why is it that only the British do that?), then it was no looking back. From there to Portslade and now I live in Corfu and spend up to 17 hours naked each day during the summer. I am uneasy now with wearing trunks. In Corfu, there are many places to swim and sunbathe naked - some have the normal backdrop of single men, but there are couples everywhere, and sometimes single women too. Arillas is a good place for women as several ex-pat women visit the beach every afternoon. The highlight for me, was being covered in mud by about 100 naked visitors. Amazingly, I felt so naked when I washed it off! Go for it and you will never look back ...
funny , i am very comfortable with my body but, never even thought about going nude in public. just don't seem right somehow. although i do like nudism outdoors in private
give it a go. Used to go skinnydipping on the qt years ago and then went to corfu where there are a few beaches with optional clothing and found it wonderful. There's just a feeling of freedom that should be at least given a go!
we went to cap about 5 years ago this was the first time we had been naked in public. We arrived unpacked the motor caravan then my hubby stripped off and instantly got a hard on i couldnt stop laughting which drew more attention to us ooopps I slowly took off my clothes as i felt more uncomfortable with clothes on because everyone was naked. There were all kinds of age groups there just going about their buisness but instantly we made friends with a group of older people. The thing i found strange was going shopping, going for coffee naked, but i must say i got bitten by the bug so to say we go naked when we can. We alway go to the naturist beach at wales and never felt uncomfy. I would say go for it you will either love it or hate it but without trying how will you know????
