Need to lookup a postcode to work out a member location?

I noticed that lixdexicposted recently saying they'd been directed into the forums to look up a postcode (and I'm assuming it was to work out where a site member lives).
We have a postcode-to-location map available via this post:

Could one of the Mods check the link to "lookup a postcode" in the original advice thread? I got an error message saying I'm not allowed to access that thread. Thanks!

i dont put a lot of faith in the postcodes, as in the searches, the mileages are way out too lol

could be worse, could be my postman, he is illiterate, he posts wrong letters through our doors, and we then deliver them to the right ones
he obviously isnt thick....

I'm missing something here, didn't this whole subject of postcodes get aired some time ago ?
And wasn't the general consensus at the time that most were false, and why would anyone give information that identified their location down to the street ?

You have to delcare your vehicle 'off road' if it's tax has expired or you are automatically issued with a fine confused

Or when they write to you telling you the fine is in the post cos you havent got a sorn, you send a photocopy of the current one you hold and send off a new one for good measure they finally leave you alone for all of two months then write with a fine notification yet again. confused

Wouldn't even mind but I posted them the change of ownership slip when the car got moved out of my hands. :? rolleyes
