I have recently started building a profile on bebo which I have not made public yet to the people I know and love as its not finished. As I do not know to much about bebo I have randomly been clicking on pages that appear on the main page to get ideas and inspiration about how to build my bebo profile. The page I clicked on yesterday was for an 18 year old girl or should have been 18 year old girl as after clicking it I noticed it said in brackets next to her name in memory of. I read the page out of curiosity, she died quite suddenly her page had been left as it was. I found it quite emotional there were areas where her friends sister and mother still write as if they are talking to her. It shows her last pictures the last songs she listened too and the last places she went. It made me think of initaily how awful it would be to loose a younger member of my family and how we would deal with that. Then later it made me think about what I may leave behind on the net after I am gone. With the progression of the net and technology who knows what in the future people will be reading about us. Maybe in 200 years time someone will read this post? Are there any sites out there that you can leave a deliberate log on before you die for display after you die? Perhaps even there will be software in the furture that can recognise our style mis spellings and even storys and track down stuff we wrote on the net that our decendents may use to read about us
I am now thinking about what I may leave behind on the net redface What do you all think are you worried about what you might leave behind or not? would anyone like to leave thier own net memorial of themselves? any other views on the topic?

wow What a thought Tweeky that really is something to ponder. I'm gonna give that serious thought and look back to this post with interest. Amazing what this time of day allows you to think about isn't it.
u can get access to personal blogs all over the place on the net these days.
I don't think its any different to any other kind of legacy. In that provding there is money to maintain a web site it can be managed by the trustees for as long as is needed.
I am not sure if its still there but at one time the longest running web site was the coffee pot in a USA university. wink
