why is a single guy asking well ........................
doing some research for some friends(not members of sh) who are concerned with there childrens cyber safety
could u plz give me any feed back on net nanny or other such programs
these friends are good people who care for there kids any info would b great

There's no real substitute for watching over the shoulder, but a good place to start researching is ... you might recognise the logo!

No net nanny type software is going to work perfectly, and keeping an eye on what the kids are doing online is really the only way to be sure. Of course sysadmins like me just tell kids 'look at whatever you like, but remember the logs of everywhere you've visited end up being emailed to me'.

Keep the computer in a room that is in use a lot by the family, in otherwords not in their bedrooms is a really good start
