Maybe you can start by reading the 'Information' section to your left and then just spending some time browsing past threads - a lot of which are a load of nonsense but will give you a feel for the site and it's members.
I'm sure others will be along soon to give you more specific advice.

I started out by visiting swinging sites such as this one to find out where the clubs were. My boyfriend and I went along and at first we just watched what went on and had sex with ourselves in closed rooms, just us two. We talked about things we would like to try and through constant communication about things we set our boundaries. We have had great fun in the swinging scene.
My top tip for surving swinging is to talk to each other regualrly, honestly and when sex is not on the agenda, ie not in the middle of the throws of passion.

Not all like-minded couples use the same handle. Sometimes it's even hard to tell whether someone's a couple or a single lol (not suggesting you want necessarily want to hit the orgy room yet though lol) or some couples are not couples in the conventional sense.

Brilliant post, Gem. My experience was very similar - though we did go for the 'soft swing' option - ie we had sex with ourselves in an open room where about four other couples were also there and doing the same thing. Sometimes there's a shortage of private rooms in some clubs on a busy night, but you can always take it at your own pace and have a very exotic evening whether you take part (in some aspect) there and then or not. Even sharing the jacuzzi or pool and laughing and chatting can be a big step. Once you're comfy, as Gem says, communicate lots with each other and see where you want to go next, and discuss as many 'what-ifs' first if you can
That way it will bring you closer together, and the sharing with others will bring you closer too.<hug>
My boyfriend and I are new to this (first party coming up on 5th Feb) and that's how I hope it'll be for us. We're very good at talking about it for hours and it feels like the time to 'do' something now. I imagine, unless we really relax and find the perfect person/people, we'll start off just playing together...we'll see I guess.

Hi Poniella - not seen you before so had a quick glance at your website and have to say, wow, brilliant photos, esp the black and white stuff! Did your b/friend do them? (if he did he is very talented!) Or were they a professional shoot?
I used to do photography as a second job (inc nudes and model portfolios) but gave it up years ago when all my gear got nicked in Paris. Still enjoy seeing some class act photos!

We're in a similar position as you (but how can they see through the screen you may ask!!
) so can't give advice only to say we've perhaps taken one step further and are going to the Essex Munch this Sat. Its the advice everyone seems to offer "Go to a Munch" so we're going. The only advicey type thing we could offer is probably teaching you to suck eggs but its just to make doubly sure you both know and agree up front what you want the scene to do for you as a couple and how quickly you're going to drop it if it doesn't work for either of you.

Thanks ! They were done by a lovely photographer chap who did a free shoot for me cos I had a phase when I wanted to do loads of that stuff. But when I did it, I realised that it would only ever be for my own sense of fun. Might be doing another one soon...
