Well, I have just put the holding fee down on a new flat.
For a single guy, do you think a double bed in the bedroom and a double futon in the livingroom is enough wink
As a question to the group, if you are single or became single what would your criteria be for a new abode. confused:
do you get a bathroom and kitchen? lol

Ah, well there is a bathroom, but only with shower.
For the lazy, the lounge is a lounge diner, so you don't have to go far to make the coffee or get the "TV Dinner" out of the microwave. cool
A garden/terrace with room for a decent sized barbeque and patio furniture is an absolute must have
Is there room for a cat?

Goldfish are a very good thing to have around here. Can you breed them? They have been used as a form of currency. lol

The idea of the double bed and double futon is to get some company
Goldfish as currency... you have to feed them Bev wink . Is their inflation rate (growth) as high as they cost to keep (return on capital employed, for the non business people here)

I inherited my house when my dad died a couple of years ago. Biggest lesson learned - don't get anything that you don't want to clean! You get it you clean it, and the more you get the more you clean. Minimalism is the most maximal word around.
Of course you may actually enjoy cleaning...
As for the bed, go for a King Size if you can. You might need somewhere to entertain a couple you meet at a club or something...you can do it now, you're single...
I had the kitchen re-done...totally...and to my (blokeproof) design - simple surfaces, wipe-cleanable (compare the ease of a ceramic hob to one of those wrought-iron gas flamed art-works)
And that's why I've got time to be writing this, with the kitchen all clean behind me already.
Perfectly happy with my 2-bed exec apartment....... I chose it carefully for a number of reasons: I needed a 2nd bedroom for my daughter, good access to motorway etc... it's furnished well (wooden floors throughout, black leather suite, fully fitted kitchen), got secure parking, Net Access, Sat & TV in all rooms, secure entry system. It ain't cheap but then the good things in life never are.
Ideal for me and I love living here.....

lol
