Just a quickie tip...
working practice wise
Ive always kept All my file & backed up a copy of any programs/applications on an external hard drive
After working in IT I've advised never to keep files on a laptop without a backup due to the nature of the bleeding things.
They do lead a hard life being shunted hither & thither & components will fail far quicker than any desktop!
But having said that don't worry about the size of the hard drive
processor speed & memory will be the key for an easy faster laptop experience
2GB memory will be be ample... but if you can stretch to a dual core then you will be giggling
prices are crashing year on year so maybe holding out till the next new year sale will be well worth it!
Good Luck Mal biggrin

Personally I hate the Acer's. We bought my daughter one last year, the connectivity pin has snapped already,

It must be a design fault as my daughter's Acer power socket snapped off too, at 7 months old. The dozy mare can't find the receipt now either rolleyes
that's a booga!.. we've got a receipt but we're 6 months out of warranty and it's going to cost over £120 to fix. Not worth it in my opinion, rather save a bit more and get a new one when I'm ready
Not necessarily, madam.......

It's surely worth a few letters! kiss
oooo thanks darlink
