Yes YOU may just do that but OTHERS don't and won't and you can not judge everybody by your own beliefs or actions. We have spoke with many people who avoid forums or avoid posting "contesting" comments due to that very fact.

So the survey and majority of 1000's of paying customers are wrong simply because they did not read a forum thread?

WOW and we were slated for having an opinion pro verification in the forum and through private messages via a mod. I guess when you really listen to what people want rather than having a closed minded opinion of your own and those who agree with you get to see the bigger picture. Those of us who are anti verification or anti anything else for that matter make informed decisions based on our experiences of such systems. I bet if the For and Against Verification thread link had been attached to any vote then the outcome may have been very different. Photo Search Feature
Recent member input has given rise to a wide range of new features that will be launching in 2009. We are substantially enhancing the Photo Ads, Groups, profiles, pictures, videos, and distance sections to be far more relevant and usable.
There are just under half a million pictures on the site, in order to make it easier for members to find other members or view specific types of photo's we intend to introduce a photo search, before we can do that, all public pictures need to be tagged.
You now have the ability to assign tags to pictures in your public gallery (xxx reomved my link) just click on the picture and follow the instructions. If you tag your own then your classification will be the ones used NOT any public tags.
We also need your help with the tagging other peoples photo's, the more photos tagged the better the search results will be.
Swinging Heaven is looking for ways to make all areas of the site more relevant and usable for the members. Our goal is continual improvement and listening to our member feedback.

You have to remember that the forum is only a very very small part of the site traffic, some people don't even know there is a forum!! the main site traffic I believe is in the photo ads, chat room, stories etc !! with the forum towards the end of the list.
Personally I think questionaires and notices on the homepage is the way to go. :bounce:

Glad that this has been attended to very quickly.
Well done SH for your quick response to this matter.
Have tagged my own pics and am now very happy again.
I agree that information on matters such as this is announced on members homepage upon signing in. This was the case some time ago regarding verifying members.

I still think it should be possible to opt out of the tagging system... simply by adding a "non tagged" or "non specified" voice next to the various gay-closeup-faceshot-explicit...etc etc.
that way whoever doesn't feel like being labelled can still select the "neutral/generic" tag.
the reason for this is to avoid other members from tagging a pic in an inappropriate/spiteful way.
those pics would end up in a search by pic simply in the generic category instead of say, "bondage". alternatively they could be excluded from the searches but still be visible to those who bump into the specific profile (say by finding the user in the chat).

I don't have any problems with the tagging per se.... but I still will not be putting my pictures back into the public domain till the facility for others to tag pictures is removed....
that give people the power to make decisions on my pics that I may not be happy with......
that is still my gripe with the entire fiasco....
only let people do there own....

Your tag of your own picture overrides any tag anyone else may try to put on it. It doesn't stop anyone else tagging your pics, but it's your tag that counts when the search system is launched and that is several months away.

i still cant understand why people should be able to search through our pictures. i can understand this if we have chosen to put our pics in to the public gallery thing on the top menue bar but as far as i was aware the pics we uploaded only went on aour profiles.... or am i seriously mistaken.
Can we not have a public gallery that is searchable containing pics that people have tagged themselves and chosen to specifically place in the public gallery. That way the pics in our own profile will not need taggeing as they belong to our profile - and for those who have actually filled in their own profiles - because our profile states if we are bi/straight etc. If people actually bothered to read profiles or actually take the time to fill one out, we would all know what is shown in the picture.
Perhaps making the profile search more efficient and accurate would be a better move then making pics searchable after all we are here for swinging not perving???? (Though i am not saying i don't mind a lil bit of perving every now and then lol)

any photo you put on here will be in your profile, unless you put it as private it will be in the public gallery.
only those who are members can see the over 18 rated pictres when logged in,allthe rest are viewable by non members... face pics are not rated 18 plus, so anyone can see them.
again unless you keep them all private.

That is still wrong in my view.
I think you'll find that once you have tagged your own pics, it takes away the facility for anyone else to tag them, so if you tagged them no-one else can tag them. Does that resolve your problem? lol

I'm sorry, I'm not seeing the problem here. If your pictures are open to the public on your profile, what is the problem with them being in the gallery? If you have them set for private, they don't appear on your profile or the public gallery. This is nothing new, it's as it always has been since you could originally post pics.

I'm sorry, I'm not seeing the problem here. If your pictures are open to the public on your profile, what is the problem with them being in the gallery? If you have them set for private, they don't appear on your profile or the public gallery. This is nothing new, it's as it always has been since you could originally post pics.

the problem was that i thought that the gallery was veiwable by non members to enable the site to entice new members, it appears that only the front page of each catagorie is veiwable if i try and veiw it when not logged on. so i reckon that as long as we dont add new pics only members can see the ones we have on site already.
if non members cant see the pics in the gallery section, the only other problem we have is the fact that we prefer to meet people who are actually educated, can read and can hold a conversation. so ideally people who have read our profile, know what we are looking for, have made sure that they fit in with that, and then have sent a half decent message telling us about themselves and actually asking a few questions.... as opposed to nice pics fancy a shag messages which to be honest having pics in a gallery could encourage. in the gallerie you might see a pic that takes your fancie and then just click profile and send message or even worse send a wink.... like i said earlier we thought that pics on profile were only available via our profile. so either from searching for us using the search facility or by clicking our profile in chat or off the forum, which means people would actually have to pass through (and hopefully read) our profile. obviously this is not the case.

Ok i may just be having a blonde moment (not the first time) but i'm following the link to my photos, clicking on the photos, but i'm not getting any mention of being able to tag my pics.
Does this mean while all this was being debated my pics received the required number of tags and is no longer an option for me to do it? :shock:

I don't want my pics tagged.
I don't want them coming up in any search, for that matter.
I have my 2 public pics purely so that my profile has a picture on it.
But there is no option for "do not tag this picture"
So - rather than anyone else tagging them - which I think is an intrusion on my - MY - pics, (not the site's pics) I have tagged them as "day to day" photos - hopefully anyone searching for potential meets wouldn't put "day to day" in their search field.
But why on earth should I have had to do that?

ive set all mine to private, so i dont think they can be tagged by anyone, including myself. although im not sure once i send a invite if that person can then tag? but then if they do id know it was them? how can you see what tag a photo has?
there is already a 18+ tag, well its in the place where you load your pics, but i think that admin who tag it as that not you?
safe bet shove them all into private, if someones interested enough they will message me to ask what i look like. or i expect we will get a more detailed description section soon?
im waitig on the vote to remove free memberships from before the takeover. confused

I don't in any shape or form for my pictures to be tagged by anybody apart from myself. In the past I have had comments about me being a BBW, and although I am proud of being one, It's my choice to tag myself, and not for other people to do it.
The majority of people on here are very nice, but there are a few "twats" who ruin in for the rest.
So all my pics are now private, and will stay like it until the "tagging" is taken off, or until my sub runs out, which ever first.
Not happy with this at all. evil

Thanks for that fem, and yes as you say admin / mods tag the pics as 18+ if needed but we have put pics up before and they have not been tagged as 18+ when we feel they should have. I am all for the protection of the young.
Tagging the pics as 18+ also stops non paying members from viewing the pics as well, and it would be good to have that option when we upload pics.

yes i totally agree, face pics are not 18 +, i dont mind members knowing what i look like,but i dont want minors ( not because i think im horror ugly to be rated 18 lol)or non members to see me. the only option is to keep it private.
i dont want to sound discriminatory, but then any tagging /labeling could be seen as that, but there are so many black/white rooms etc why isnt that a option in the search or tag facility?
ok before im jumped on, i know some dont want to be known for being black or white, but maybe i dont wann be tagged as bi or bbw?

heu..are you saying there are minors on this website?
I believe the +18 tag is there mainly to indicate a mature content..intercourse or the like, as opposed to bodyshots or facepics of whatever nature

Then how would having a 18+ tag stop them seeing it? It's a label on the pic, it has no way of seeing the age of the person looking at it.
I'm an old member from pre-pay-time. Does that mean I can't see 18+ tagged pictures?
