I think a new name could be
Norms
don't know why I just like it!!
lol

That makes Swingers, Abnorms. You've got no chance mate!!
It's not the word folks, it's the way it's used that counts. So changing it will not make a jot of difference.
I mean Vanilla per se is not boring but sometimes on here it is used in the context that Vanilla behaviour is boring - which it can be but doesn't have to be - are we getting the wrinkles here??
So let's move on to the next subject shall we?
As a newbie to this site and as a couple who have not yet swung, I find this name branding all rather amusing and confusing. I dont like generalisations and lableing people for convenience. I dont particulary find being called a vanilla offensive, but on the other hand I would rather me and my partner be judged by our merits/flaws than the fact that we havent fucked anyone else in the 5 years we have been together!
Anyway, would me and my Mrs be classed as Vanillas? We like the idea of swinging, yet do not know 100% if we will go through with it. We enjoy an active sex life and love sex toys, dressing up, porn, camming etc, but does the fact that we havent shagged anyone else while together make us vanilla/bland etc?
This isnt a moan, honest! I just find it all rather funny.

There was a thread running talking about vanillas and having just read the whole thing have decided that personally I dont like the term 'vanillas' - mainly as i dont think its right to label someone boring just because they dont swing - if anyone else agrees agrees maybe we could come up with an alternative....
.....maybe 'pickets' - as in white picket fence???? - ok not very good!!

How about "normals", the term used by train spotters to describe regular rail travellers. This stems from announcements made in the past by station announcers - "This is a private charter train and is not for use by normal passengers" lol Says a lot about train spotters ....... us as well? bolt biggrin
