Rudyard Kipling wrote a poem called "The Young British Soldier".
I wont put the whole thing on here as its about 13 verses long.
But the tone of the poem points the young soldier towards the right way!!!
The end verse being this...

First off Desperation does not get you laid.
Swinging is like most other things, you get out of it what your willing to put into it.
No effort in your profile, no effort with your pictures = no meets.
Your profile is your shop window, there are thousands of single males looking for meets, to get them you need to show the couples/females what you have to offer them, they don't give out sympathy shags.

You can just be lucky and time it right. There was a lady on here many years ago in chat who would have blokes over on an evening if you were within her area. Your first priority is to make yourself visible, take a look at some profiles and get some ideas. If you don't let members know who you are, where you are, and what you look like then they won't be wasting time and effort trying to find out. Every meet I've ever had from this site has come from the chat rooms. I've never ever had any response from an ad., but that's not to say it won't work for some. Most guys who agree to meet don't turn up, so that's another hurdle in your way if you're unknown.
