Hi everyone!
I wanted to let you all know about my friend who was in the car accident on the M62 the other day.
For those who missed the original, he was on a slip road on the M62 where his car had broken down. The recovery vehicle crashed into them. Hi mum is ok with a few bump, scratches and bruises but he had to be airlifted to the nearest hospital.
He was admitted with 7-9 broken ribs, broken chest and collar bones, fractures in his vertabrae and a blood clot in the front of his brain, suspected lung and organ damage. He had to be sustained on support machines.
Thanks for all those who thought about him and may have uttered a little prayer for him.
<<<Great news>>>
He has started to breathe for himself and the doctors are really pleased as he is started to make a recovery! All his organs are ok and in working order! Small steps at a time.... fingers crossed and all that...... biggrin
I'd like to say a huge thanks to the people who let me talk to them about this and were there for me. kiss
You are a great bunch of people and I thankyou from the bottom of my heart.
That's great news, G**, I'm so relieved for you, and for him....hope his recovery continues speedily.

Mike.
Thanks Mike! we hope this too.
We can visit him once he is out of ICU, fingers crossed, it won't be long!
Dear G. I had no idea it was this bad either! He's very lucky I guess and everyone involved in his rescue and recovery has done an excellent job! It really restores your faith in humanity! We are very lucky in this country to have such dedicated people in the various services that are willing to come to our aid, often at the risk to their own selves.
Hope your friend makes a speedy recovery!

Well the moral of this tale is when you break down on a motorway hard shoulder or slip road ...get the F*** out of the vehicle and as far away from the road as possible.
Glad to hear he's improving Fem smile
Great news to hear ....
Lets hope it's very quickly that he can get up and around.
I'm sorry I didn't realise your friend was that ill. Great news and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Thank you for the lovely comforting words and your well wishes.
I'm really happy today because my friend has regained consciousnees and is on the path to recovery! He hurts all over so the docs will keep himsedated, but it is a good sign because it means his nervous system works well.

Hi, best wishes from Countess and myself as well.
Good news about the pain, as you say it shows that there's a lot of nerve activity and there's (hopefully) nothing wrong up-top.
I would just like to say....I hope he makes a full recovery and everything goes well for him from now on......good luck with seeing him at the weekend..... biggrin
G I had no idea that any of this had happened, but had I known my thoughts would definitely have been with both you and him. I really hope he continues to recover so well cool

The injuries that you listed are not insignificant; I can understand why the medical team are being a little cautious. I wish you all the very best for you and your friend - I hope things start to show signs of improvement.
